Sometimes, I think people just need to get up and MOVE from a place that is so awful they are offended by the daily scenes of violence and other sinfulness around them that has become dangerous and unhealthy for them and their families. - Of course, I know we can’t run from all trouble, or be perfectly safe in this world, but at this point, I’ve come to the place where I want to move out of Tornado Alley and to a cooler part of the state. Being tied to a certain area can become a form of bondage that prevents a person from growing up.

I often wondered why Lot did not move. But there is often something holding us. In his case, it appears it was family that he did not want to leave. Family often brings us to places we do not want to be. It is interesting reading the account of Lot in Genesis. He starts out away from Sodom, then gets closer, until he is right in the heart of it.
