The following is a vision spoken by Dr. Lester Sumrall that I believe we should pay close attention to in this economic crisis. Sometimes when judging a prophecy or vision we can make the mistake in accurately pinpointing timing. The more mature prophets are able to do this. Although this prophecy came in 1987, in the light of the looming economic depression, I believe it applies to right now.
Here’s the part that I want to emphasize to you:
And He said “This is what I want you to do. I want you to let my people know that these are the last days, that proceeding my coming there will be great famine, there shall be great earthquakes, there shall be pestilence as it is written in Matthew 24.”
He says “Now what I want you to have is what is called the End-time Joseph Program and be like Joseph. You must build places to store food, because if you don’t, the time will come when there will be no food, that the time will come on planet earth when food will be more precious than gold, therefore you must gather the food and store it and that’s what Joseph did. And the moment when there is no food, those that love my name, those that serve me diligently, those people will have food. I don’t want to have to come back for my bride and find many of them starving when there is plenty in the earth and my people have plenty to share with them.” I said “Lord I’m willing to do this”.

David Wilkerson gave a similar prophecy including keeping no less than 30 days of food on hand, and it also included a country defaulting on it’s loans, and seeing riot chaos and fires inside Macy’s in NYC in a vision....> The Vision was written as a book, if I remember correctly. It has been awhile.
Some prophecies are 20, 10 or more years away, when received, and some are only days, weeks, months or a few years.
I’ve had that experience myself, in either getting something, or being given something, and the timing turns out to be longer than you think it will be.
barring catastrophic events on a biblical scale, not in America. We have much to be thankful for in America as far as food goes.
Food is already more valuable than gold. What do you use gold for? To buy what is of value to you... food.
I sometimes see this sort of thing with names similar to “Fervent Christian” on them and am forced to wonder. Does a fervent Christian use lethal force to defend his horde of food or does he share it with neighbors until it’s gone? I guess it depends on whether or not you think that as a Christian you’re supposed to sacrifice for others as Christ did or that you’re supposed to be fat and happy as a testimony to the starving that you’re the right kind of Christian.
It works both ways.
We are in big trouble as a nation. The best thing to happen is that we start drilling offshore immediately otherwise we will enter into a depression worse than before.
We being lied to by the media and politician. We have not awakened, even after all the bailouts. We are worse off.
Don’t forget the toilet paper.
In an economic collapse, gold and silver are only worth something if you have a local network willing to use them as exchange.
If not, they’re are worthless, unless you want to store value till that point arrives again.

I agree; we can only prepare based on what we think might happen in our area.
If and when structure breaks down and local authorities are overwhelmed, currencies give way to food, fuel and ammunition or arms. Fortresses, or armed camps that provide food and security become the enclaves that make it through to structure reforming, if it does.
Eventually, the Lord will return. Many of us may not make it to that point in the flesh.
If it really comes down to it clean water will be the biggest demand.
The evil people in our congress are working really hard to change that .
I have been stocking up on food past 2 months and will continue to do so. Also have plenty of ammo but will probably pick up some more at flea market this weekend.
Gold and silver will be useless if things get real bad. You can’t eat them and they ain’t ammo.
If you ever read the book “One Second After”, you can see how easy food could become very valuable indeed. Enough so, that you may have to defend your home to keep what you have. Now in the Book it was an EMP weapon that set it all in motion. In the events of Human history, it could be a weapon, or global socialism, or even more quickly like the Rapture
