Remember, any church can call itself Baptist. There are many that are really small fiefdoms for the preacher and his family. The WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH comes to mind....
Good point. There are many cults that masquerade as Christian churches, and that is not limited to the Baptists alone.
And they should be held to the same doctrinal standards as everyone else who claims to be part of the body of Christ.
And Mormonism is apart from Biblical Christianity and not even close to Christianity doctrinally.
