You mean he wasn't?! LOL!
Oh, I too consider the article title to be very blasphemous! It's heresy!
can't we all just get along?
Oh my bad...
:)
If you love your neighbor, you would give your very life to save his/hers. I was Mormon. I have discovered the fallacies they taught me about God, about Christ, and about the atonement. I lived for years under the condemnation of earning my way to glory. What nonsense - that men could actually become gods!
I love Mormons enough to try and see them saved. I wish you did.
Watch heads explode when (not if) Beck endorses Romney.
A pivotal decision in this Politically Correct environment where everybody embodies the words "free speech" in order to be heard. Some words are not to be allowed if it is missionary work by the Mormon church. And I believe the majority of the Mormon posters are on their missions to post and challenge here.
I’m surprised by the number of posters who seem surprised this is Mormon doctrine. I’m no expert, but I’ve known for a long time they consider Joe to be an Apostle and Prophet.
In fact, the top dog Mormons today are still considered Apostles of Jesus Christ, I believe.
The whole controversy strikes me as somewhat like being outraged to discover the Pope claims infallibility.
Well the problem is they add all this spacey new age gobbly goop with it..men become Gods...God marries...they all rule their own planet..all which isn’t from the Bible...rather they created a book they call their bible...at least they read and believe it...where they say our bible has many errors that ol’ Smith boy corrected. When really the guy was an occultist and practiced such...that’s where the magic hat comes in.
So the Christian community, pretty much worldwide does not accept the Mormon Religion as Christian...they know this and have a huge campaign to try and get recognized as Christian.
Meanwhile they belly up to the Muslims to incorporate shared projects on the International scene and here in the states...the oil heads attract them as there’s plenty of money to be had from them...rather like Obamas using NASA to “help”.
So that’s what’s some of the problems are...and the rest could go on for miles.
huh? are you the same Cherry that posted earlier...
twilight zone it is midnight!
You'd like that wouldn't you? Could it be because Mormonism gets its ass kicked with the truth, every time it rears its head?
Yeah, that's the ticket, ban all religious discussion because yours doesn't hold water.
Well I have great friends who are Jewish and don’t believe in Jesus Christ as Saviour, I have friends that are Jehovah Witnesses and I know plenty of other christians who are Laodicean...What can I do? Be a reflection of who Christ is, to continue to preach the gospel of Christ as a Peacemaker....
The Mormon Mirage (click and read the reviews @ Amazon)
Three decades after leaving the Mormon faith, Latayne Colvett Scott looks back to her original journey out of Mormonism and the reasons why she left. Revised and updated, this third edition of The Mormon Mirage presents both a fascinating inside look at Mormonism and new and formidable evidence against its claims and teachings.
Description:
In the first edition of The Mormon Mirage, Latayne C. Scott shared her remarkable journey out of Mormonism as she uncovered shocking inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and contradictions in the faith she had loved and lived. Thirty years later, Mormonism and Mormon scholarship have evolved with the times. In this third, revised and updated edition of her well-known book, Scott keeps pace with changes and advances in Mormonism, and reveals formidable new challenges to its claims and teachings. The Mormon Mirage provides fascinating, carefully documented insights into DNA researchs withering implications for the Book of Mormon the impact of new revelations on Latter-day Saint (LDS) race relations new findings about Mormon history increasing publicity about LDS splinter groups, particularly polygamous ones recent disavowals of long-held doctrines by church leadership the rise of Mormon apologetics on the Internet
More than a riveting, insiders scrutiny of the Mormon faith, this book is a testimony to the trustworthiness of Scripture and the grace of Jesus Christ.
And martyred.
So I suppose that a thread offering congratulations to the two female senior Episcopalian clergy at Boston’s St Paul’s Cathedral on their “historic” lesbian marriage to one another yesterday is out of the question as well?
Depending on your definition, he was martyred.
Thanks I will take a look, the more posts I read describing Mormon doctrine the more it is sounding like *Scientology*
Well, I’ll guarandoubletee you it won’t be a protected caucus thread.
I didn’t say ban all religious discussions, but if Jim is going to make an exception to the Caucus rules that only applies to Mormons, than perhaps it’s time to do an across the board thing, either with all caucuses, or just eliminate Mormon discussions period.
So mormonism just goes under the covers again ???
God exposes false religions for our protection...
I doubt He will stop exposing mormonism as a fraud..
You being a former missionary was it not so that only the Holy Ghost can convert?
And you want to wet on my leg and tell me in all through the years this FR contention will convert?
What has happen is that some have wondered what is all this fuss about reading all the horrible PR by the antis and have gone to the source and that by the power of the spirit of the Lord witness to them that is how it happens!
