Basically, it says that the god of Mormonism was once a man who was born to human parents on another planet, grew to manhood, lived out his life being obedient to the laws and ordinances of the gospel presented by the god of that world. Upon his death and resurrection, he was judged (by his god) as being worthy for godhood.
The Mormon god was raised to his godhood and sent with many goddess wives to a planet near the great star, Kolob, somewhere in our present galaxy. There, this god and his wives began procreating' or physically begetting "spirit" children. We here on this planet are each an offspring of this god and one of his goddesses in this pre-existent Mormon world.

>>As Man is, God once was, and as God is, man may become.<<
Satan has been telling humans that since he rebelled.
"We have also proved that both God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ inherit their wives in eternity as well as in time." Orson Pratt, Mormon Apostle, The Seer, p. 172 (1853)
Brigham Young said, "The birth of the Saviour was as natural as are the births of our children; it was the result of natural action. He partook of flesh and bloodwas begotten of his Father, as we were of our fathers," (Journal of Discourses, v. 8, p. 115).
Brigham Young also said, "Now, remember from this time forth, and for ever, that Jesus Christ was not begotten by the Holy Ghost," (Journal of Discourses, vol. 1, p. 51).
Brigham Young said, "When the time came that His first-born, the Saviour, should come into the world and take a tabernacle, the Father came Himself and favoured that spirit with a tabernacle instead of letting any other man do it. The Saviour was begotten by the Father of His spirit, by the same Being who is the Father of our spirits," (Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, 1857, p. 218).
Joseph Fielding Smith said, "They tell us the Book of Mormon states that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Ghost. I challenge that statement. The Book of Mormon teaches no such thing! Neither does the Bible." (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p. 19).
{Uhm, hello!!?? You might want to re-read Alma 7:10.}
Bruce McConkie, who was a member of the First Council of the Seventy stated, "Christ was begotten by an Immortal Father in the same way that mortal men are begotten by mortal fathers," (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, p. 547).
>>> How can people believe this junk?
I’ve been asking God that question for a long time.
I don’t know that I have the complete answer, but I do believe I have a big part of it.
In the course of any person’s life, the desire to “get away with something” is strong. We all make mistakes, and we quickly seek to blameshift or deny guilt. This of course ends up leading to a propensity to lie or manipulate the truth. This is something we are all guilty of at some point in our lives, and we all have to deal with.
The problem is that some people are much better at lying than others. The ones who are not very good at it must either choose to give it up, or figure out what they are doing wrong... otherwise, they fail to “get away with it”.
Determination is a powerful attribute for positive change, but can also be just as destructive if abused. Someone who is so determined to learn how to lie effectively eventually learns that before they can fool others, they have to believe the lie themselves first.
It is my personal belief that this is an attainable goal.
There are methods and practices (justification, repetition, etc.) that enable our brains to deny a truth and replace it with a lie. We call it compartmentalization... and one does not have to understand how it works in order to make it work.
The problem is that there are serious side effects... the most detrimental one being the dismantling of our God-given ability to discern between truth and error.
In other words, or in short....
If you learn to lie effectively, you become extremely vulnerable to being lied effectively to.
Who was it that said that the easiest person to con was a con man? It’s a true statement.
This is not to call all Mormons liars. For that matter, we are ALL liars (even Christians)... because we have all lied at some point in our lives. Rather, I believe it is safe to say that Mormons are deceived because they have handicapped themselves from being able to discern the truth.
Good Patriotic Christian people that put family and country first.
That should keep the Mormon-haters busy posting Bible scriptures (ad nauseum) for a while. I’m going to the store.
Don’t bother to respond. I won’t reply.
Neither. It’s a business.
"Dont bother to respond. I wont reply."
We know. Common cowardly tactic to accuse people of hate and then run off, just like a flaming liberal.
No stomach or spine to back up the allegations or accept responsibility for the lies.
Buy something to make yourself feel better.
Yet you ask us to let them dance with the Devil straight to the gates of hell itself without as much as a peep.
If wanting to save Good Patriotic people is hate in your eyes it says much about you.
I would not reply either.
2009? Not new news.
If Mormons want to be Christians, just throw out all those other books and read the bible only. Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were just men, Jesus always was and is GOD.
As the Teaparty has no real leader, Christians have no real leader other than Jesus. (The pope, you say? Just a man, nobody special).
If your religion has leaders somewhere telling you what to believe, then you have just that, a religion. A cult if you will, blindly following some religious leader / leaders.
Mormons want legitimacy (like homosexuals do). We will pretend to be Christians just let us in the normal club, The “Christian” club. So we can get out of the Mormon “cult” club. I'm sure Mormons are very nice. I love their family values and TV commercials, (yes commercials, they are trying to SELL you something).
Their leaders teachings and their blasphemous books just make being considered a Christian impossible. They gave up Polygamy, now give up blasphemy and we'll talk.
This doesn't mean you can't be nice people who do good things. The "Family" Public Service spots I understand are very, very good.
Great post!
Interesting insight. Thanks for sharing.
