Though not “formally excommunicated"

They excommunicate themselves. It's just as binding. What they need now is to be trespassed from Church property.

Would be great, though, to publicly humiliate them with cameras blazing right after showing them a picture of an aborted human baby.

Exactly! They have excommunicated themselves. They have no king but Cesar. Their loyalty to the Democratic Party surpassed the their faith long ago.
