Pfleger Watches Sunday Mass From Background
Chicago Tribune ^ | 5/1/11 | Becky Schlikerman

Not used to being sidelined, the Rev. Michael Pfleger on Sunday peeked from behind an open door behind the altar and gazed on as Mass went on without him.

It was the first Sunday service held at St. Sabina Catholic Church since Cardinal Francis George suspended Pfleger last week for threatening to leave the Roman Catholic Church if he is forced to become the president of Leo Catholic High School.

The Rev. Thulani Magwaza, associate pastor at St. Sabina and now administrator of the parish, led the Sunday service, which focused on youth. He prayed for Pfleger and sang his praises, especially his work in the community.

I suspect that there's a long way to go in returning this Parish to sanity. I hope and pray that it can be done without simply suppressing the Parish.

He always has been a fulltime community organizer/commie /race baiting trouble maker. He's just lost his cushy base of operations.

Note how these Christians love one another. Herein lies true scandal. Yet some of these will dare to receive communion. It has been well asked “what would constitute unworthy participation more than doing so while anathematizing one’s fellow Christians”

The Catholic way, applicable from Pope to peon ... “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”

Historic parallels ... Galileo, Copernicus, and Luther; also not popular with prelates.

Indeed.

Most definitely not the Catholic way....... "Father, may they persevere in the evil which they do". (No citation).

Forgiveness for evil done and indifference to its occurrence are not synonymous.

That group of kids wear same RED shirt looks oddly SEIU-like with a dash of Alinsky thrown in.

As far as I'm aware, Pfleger is under no contractual obligation to his present employer.

The door is open for him to walk, with little danger of litigation, should he find his present employment conditions unduly onerous.

Unemployment is unlikely. The demand for personnel with his skill set is high in certain jurisdictions of Chicago.

“He’s wounded by what happened,” Clark said. “He’s deeply hurt and feels a lack of respect.”

People have been deeply wounded by Pfleger’s radical race and class hate and division game, too. Many Catholics were deeply hurt that he did all that in the name of God. Rev. Wright wants the race shame fool to know that no matter what, he’s still a whitey.
