Is Islam inherently evil?

Posted on 11/08/2011 10:29:23 PM PST by Ancient Drive

I ask this question because no one the media seems to want to ask this. There are plenty of Christianity critics in our society, but for some reason, maybe political correctness no one approaches the 800 gorilla in the dog house. IMHO Islam seems to want to snuff out creativity, freedom, free will etc... things that were given to us by God at the moment of creation. Matthew 7:16 comes to mind "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"

Toss the ninth sura and it is acceptable.

Put it this way. Satan has the only known autographed photo of Mohamed on his desk...

Completely.

Its pedophile founder knew if he mixed religion with politics he would have an automatic rebuttal to anyone who pointed out all its evil ways.

Read anything by Robert Spencer and you will get the skinny on the REAL Islam, complete with footnotes and references from the Koran. It is important to remember that there is really no such thing as a “moderate” Muslim. If he is moderate, he’s not following the requirements of the faith. Any moderate is also an infidel in the eyes of their own. It is a theology that takes greater stock in punishment rather than compassion. Forgiveness is not a virtue. Revenge is. How can something be called a “religion of peace” if it cannot co-exist humanly with others and respect the basic human right of people to live without fear? How can a modern religion treat half of their population, women, with such cruelty? There are “rules” for beating your wife! And to think that TLC is going to try to “normalize” it through a new tv series!

Furthermore, Mo was not really a descendent of Ishmael. That was contrived to give him the same Biblical legacy that Jesus had. According to the Bible, the best genealogical source of the time, Ishmael didn’t even live near the area of Mo’s ancestors. The linkage was fabricated decades after Mo died. Nothing like revisionism!

Not really arguing a point here, but I had coffee this morning in with a Jew, an Atheist, a Christian, and a Moslem. We were talking about Mitt Romney and agreed, laughing, that we were all more worried about Mormonism and LDS than about each other!

I prefer to believe that you are merely making a joke here, than believe that anyone is really that silly.

Yes, its basic tenet is intolerance. That, coupled with its subjugation of women, makes it inherently evil.

Islam needs a reformation!

A reformed Islam no longer would be Islam.

Do you mean a reformed Christianity isn’t Christian?—tell that to our Lutheran Friends.

No, he means that unlike Christianity, Islam is unreformable. I agree.

UnbelievingScumOnTheOtherSide: your links need to be updated, they moved the site. Hadiths are now here and Quran is here. For the most part, just change "http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah" to "http://www.cmje.org/religious-texts/hadith" for hadiths and "http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/quran/" to "http://www.cmje.org/religious-texts/quran/" for Quran links

The best thing is to actually read the Quran and Hadith, and see for yourself -- then no Muslim can fool you by lying about "that's not what it really says" when you have read it for yourself.

Of course not. Christianity was reformable while Islam is not.

Revelation 20:10
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
