Nice to read about parents who recognize the God-given gift of LIFE.
Thanks for posting.

“A woman’s decision whether to bring a baby to term...”

Sorry, but I think the husband/father should have a say in this decision as well if the mother’s life is not in jeopardy.

I refused Down Syndrome testing because I wasn’t going to do anything antilife if the baby did have it.

What a sad, yet sweet article. I wonder how many parents are haunted by the fact that they chose aborton in these instances.

My step daughter became deathly ill seven years ago and was rushed to the ER. Turns out she had a ruptured appendix but during the exam they did a pregnancy test and discovered she was pregnant. The doctors urged her to let them “clean you out” while they went forward with the appendectomy. She is a member of the LDS Church and told the doctors that she didn’t believe in abortion and to leave the baby alone! The doctors gave her dire warnings about the consequences for her and the baby. Blah blah blah. And that’s how we got Joshua, the cutest, smartest, sweetest, most adorable grandson in the whole wide world!!!

Beautiful.

I so believe in this. Let Life be up to Gd.

One of our candidates faced this. Santorum was told his child would die. Yet she is still alive 5 years later.

Every baby is perfect.

I (age 52) think one of the many reasons today's women seem to be completely whacked out as compared to a generation or two ago is many are suffering from post abortion stress disorder...guilt and shame from killing your own children eats away at your soul and mind...

43 % of women by age 45 have had an abortion...many more than one

My bff’s “doctor” was trying to bully her and her husband to abort their first 2 babies because of some head abnormality, I forget the name of it.

They refused, had to go through genetic counseling (which was horrific for them) and the bullying continued there as well.

They now have a 10 year old girl, 7 year old boy and a 4 year old boy. ALL PERFECTLY HEALTHY! We still get SO angry when we talk about it.

A close friend had a similar circumstance, and was told the baby would die within hours of birth. The woman refused abortion, and nearing the end of her term, her little girl did die. While she was in the hospital, family members went to be with her, and mourn the loss of her baby. This was her first baby, and she was nearing 40 years old, and mostly likely her last chance to be a natural mother. The nurses dressed the baby, and the family spent time alone with her. The mother rocked her, and talked to her. One comment she made, was, “I now know what it is like to be a mother”.

The opposite of ‘planned parenthood’ is ‘unconditional love.’

Such an attitude,” he writes, “is shameful and utterly reprehensible, since it presumes to measure the value of human life only within the parameters of ‘normality’ and physical well-being, thus opening the way to legitimizing infanticide and euthanasia as well.”

It is no stretch to say that what he condemns as the view of National Socialism. What was the Aryan to them but the "normal", healthy and hearty human being.
