I was around drunks pretty much all the time for my first 20 years of life. They live for the drink. They get drunk. They keep drinking all day long to stay drunk. Hallucinations. Hangovers.
Drinking in moderation has nothing to do with that. It's as different as eating a snack and gluttony.
