It is the Mass according to the rite of the Neocatechumenal Way. Benedict XVI has ordered the congregation for the doctrine of the faith to examine it thoroughly. Its condemnation appears to be sealed
ROME, April 11, 2012 With a letter written personally to Cardinal William J. Levada, Benedict XVI has ordered the congregation for the doctrine of the faith to examine whether the Neocatechumenal Masses are or are not in keeping with the liturgical teaching and practice of the Catholic Church.
A "problem," in the pope's judgment, that is "of great urgency" for the whole Church.
Benedict XVI has been alarmed for some time about the particular ways in which the communities of the Neocatechumenal Way celebrate their Masses, on Saturday evening, in separate locations.
His sense of alarm was increased by the plot woven behind his back in the curia last winter, as reported by www.chiesa in the following articles.........
I know a few of these NeoCatechumen folks — very nice, very religious folks and a model to the community for living a holy life in the world. However, the Neocatechumen way masses are... strange... imho
May I ask, I am unfamiliar with their masses how do they differ?

Magister and the Pope are right here....read on.
I have done some research on this and was turned away from the Neo folks. A lot of controversy in leaving words out of the Mass.
Research it yourself, but don’t be raked in by the quasi non Catholic pretending to be Catholic group. I went to a couple of sessions to check it out — other than the cross of Christ there (crucifix on a pole) it was more like being in another denominational church. They also advotate centering prayer which is frowned on by the church.
People are nice, but they have been duped. Don’t let your pastor be duped, too.
Do you have those additional links mentioned at the end of the article? Could you please post them?
I am immediately skeptical of "neo" anything. Even more so when it involves the Liturgy. The point is not how to make the Mass relevant to the entire community, it is, rather, how to make ourselves individually relevant to the Mass.
I don’t know anything about Magister, but after 30 minutes of perusing the site and reading his articles, I’d have to say his writing style is so terribly obtuse I can’t make much of it. I’d read some time ago that there’s a fairly large group of people who are avid, ardent, “Vatican Watchers” who blog endlessly about weird political intrigues that go on in the Vatican and who ascribe any number of peculiar meanings to otherwise inocuous and obscure events supposedly “leaked” out of the Vatican.
As hobbies go, I’d rather collect baseball cards. I’m Roman Catholic, love my church and my Pope, pray daily and read the Popes sermons and watch Masses and other events featuring the Pontiff but as far as the political side of the Vatican is concerned, I’d have to admit being rather disinterested. For one thing......its Italy, politics in Italy are rather obscure and obtuse to begin with. I’m sure it means something to them, but to the rest of humanity, its kind of like trying to unravel the Bayeaux Tapestry........and at the end of that, your left with nothing but a huge pile of useless yarn!

The REAL link for this story and the REAL story — follow the Pope’s actions here.
How are the Masses different?
Note that I'm no expert, so this is just my opinion
Have read somewhere that it has been accepted by the Church, even though grudingly?
Have not seen any such movement in my diocese. Maybe more in Europe?

Those are serious abuses. And we know where the spirit of disobedience comes from.
