Given the depth and breadth of the cumulative circumstantial and direct physical evidence related to the timing of the Mormon movement, the character and motive of Joseph Smith, the manner in which Smith claimed to find and translate the Book of Mormon, the errant and peculiar characteristics of the Book of Mormon and the true and contradictory translation of the Book of Abraham, there is more than enough reason to conclude that Joseph Smith was a fraud and that the Book of Mormon is a work of fiction.

We got Willard!
We got mittens.
Whoopie
do.
We got screwed.
At least the Mormons are in the business of sending people to Hell, and not mass killings.
Haven’t we heard this enough? No one here wants Romney, so why keep preaching to the choir?
Why choose a Mormon as Republican candidate in the first place?
No-one has taken this issue head on. These guys believe in a fraudulent set of books. Might as well have someone who believes in fairies at the bottom of the garden.
I can't get worked up about him being mormon, however. My problem is that he's a moron.
Do you believe that you should only vote for a Christian?
So Mormons have strange beliefs, what about Hindu’s and Buddhists? They also have some ideas that may seem pretty strange to some. Should they be disqualified as an option for Christian voters in your mind? You know the nation is becoming more and more diverse and it is only a matter of time before people of all manner of faiths are running as Republicans throughout the country.
Would you rather vote for a liberal Christian or a conservative Hindu? How about a far left “progressive” Christian (and there are many that do exist that believe the bible commands us to their version of social justice) or a conservative atheist?
Or is this anti-Mormon stuff that gets posted so much really just a bunch of griping that Mormons call themselves Christian?
I really don’t care that Willard is a Mormon. My issue with him is that he isn’t a conservative. And yet, he is the nominee. So we’ve got a Mormon chameleon who MIGHT be a trainwreck as President versus a far leftwing socialist who we KNOW will be a disaster the next 4 years. Romney’s Mormonism simply doesn’t enter into the equation for me.
Bravo. What you said!
Excellent post, Longbow!
GD loves’Mormons and Romney is better than Obama!
This is why I quit listening to Glen Beck. This is not about refusing to vote for a non Christian.
This is about questionong the intellect and judgment of anyone (including Romeny and Beck) who can take Joseph Smith’s manmade Golden-tablet-angel-Moroni’s polygamous religion seriously.
Bingo. The fact they fell for a deranged huckster like JY tells me they will fall for ANYTHING. Oh, and lie about it as well.
sorry - meant questioning and Romney - posted too fast
I don’t care if a Leftwingtard has a signed letter from Jesus he or she is still not qualified to get my vote.
Romney IS NOT THE NOMINEE!
Re #6: Atheist would say the exact same thing about those who believe The Bible.
You narrowminded bigot! /s
Hmm ~ but who cares what Atheists believe ~ none of their stuff counts ~
My guess.....either because people are ignorant of the Mormon church and its aims/practices/doctrine, and they believe Romney when he says he's a Christian. Or they are non-religious/non-believers/secularists and just don't care about the reality of an almighty God in heaven who has told us to choose righteous leaders.
Fire a mormon. They have a meeting and vote to boycott your business. Give a mormon a less than perfect job evaluation, and you receive a phone call from a higher-ranking mormon to change that evaluation to perfect. I grew up in the midst of mormons. It’s a business and not a religion. And it’s a business closed to outsiders (except for their money). OBEY AND PAY OR GET OUT OF THE WAY.
