I love Kings. I have a striped Cali King and a smaller Eastern King. They eat so well and are usually calm, although they can also be little chainsaws too :)

Prayers for you, Sal, and your snake. Prayers to God and St. Francis to keep him safe and get him back.

>Put the chicken in!<

Well, that didn’t work. Chicken was frankly terrified of the guinea. It may have been that individual bird. I may try again, but I’ll do it at night (old chicken introduction trick) so they wake up and see each other.

I just saw this thread and was hoping against hope that by the end Alice would appear.

Actually, your “plan B” was the same one I had concocted in my mind as well. If there is a snake in a 10 mile radius, it will present itself directly in front of me, causing me to levitate and do a skin shed of my own. And yes, they do chuckle. Maybe Salamander could just offer us up as verbal sacrifices?

Seriously, I’m praying for Alice and Sal. There is nothing worse than not being able to find a beloved pet.

Sal, my friend...you are very very loved.

Bumping for more prayer.

Come on Alice...come out of your hidey-hole and stop stressing out your mommy....

I’m just checking in to say still no Alice.

I spent the day looking and resting a bit and I’m feeling right poorly.

Sorry I’m not up to posting much tonight.

I’m pretty beat down.

God bless you all for being here for us.

Shari

I’m worried about your Guinea.

The chicken probably thought it was a member of some kind of weird punk rock religious cult, what with that ‘makeup and hairdo’ and all.

Maybe you could try two chickens, instead.

One for the Guinea and the other to settle the other chicken’s nerves.

At least the Guinea would have a flock of some kind to hang out with, even if they aren’t that crazy about him.

There’s a poultry swap within an hour’s drive this Saturday. I think I’ll hop in the car and go see if anyone has a guinea for sale. We kept going up to check on Larry the guinea today. He would chirp to us and seemed to perk up, so he’s got a little company.

There’s a hatchery that has keets available as of the 4th of June. I can always order some, but they would have to be in a brooder for a minimum of 6 weeks.

I was just checking in to see if there was any news. All I have to offer are prayers that Alice is found and prayers of support for you. And a big ((((hug)))), too.

How old is Alice? Is he considered “young”, “adult”, “middle-aged” or “elderly” for his species?

Does he have any known health problems?

Could he be shedding his skin?

Could he be smelling a nearby female of the species (do you know of anyone who keeps a female ball python near you?)?

Still praying!

Yes, when the four of us can't decide on a movie Bob the Turtle usually does, although it's a little harder with Pay- per- view and Netflix!

Bob the big baby would probably be afraid of Gamera! Just checked the thread and I'm sorry you haven't found Alice yet.

Maybe he'll show up when you least expect it, looking for you!

When I was a kid my Aunt was somehow (I don't remember where they came from) given two turtle eggs and an incubator and when they hatched and were extremely small, one escaped in her house and she thought it was lost forever. We brought our dog over (a beagle) and within ten minutes the beagle was barking at a gun case. The baby turtle was under it and my Aunt was able to find it. Do you have access to a dog with a good nose?
