Boy, 11, Leads Church As Ordained Pentecostal Minister
ABC news ^ | 21 June 2012 | Alexis Shaw

Just last month, Ezekiel Stoddard, 11, of Temple Hills, Md., was ordained as a minister in his family's independent Pentecostal church, where his parents are also pastors.

Stoddard said he was motivated to become a minister after God spoke to him in a dream and told him to read Psalm 23.

"God gave me that particular scripture because a lot of people, they try to draw you away from the lord, trying to get you on the wrong path," he said.

"People come to you, they ask you questions about why you should act like a child and not a minister," the young minister said. "I do things like a child, but still I am a minister. I am an evangelical."

Stoddard was ordained in a congregation-wide ceremony on May 6, with his parents leading the service.

His mother, Pastor Adrienne Smith, says her son preaches the 11 a.m. service with the other preachers at the Fullness of Time Church, a small but growing congregation in Capitol Heights, Md.

..."A lot of people think of me being a kid, that my parents are forcing me to minister the gospel," he said. "But the first time I did a sermon, I was 7 or 8."

Just a few days ago, there was a Catholic saint who was when he died, on his way to becoming a priest or was a priest. He was young himself. His name was Saint Aloysius Gonzaga.

Al Sharpton was ordained as a Pentecostal minister at the age of 9.

Fundamentalists that marry one queer to another

Fundamentalists do not marry "one queer to another" and you know it.

Shame on you.

1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

1Ti 3:6 Not a NOVICE, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

Anyone remember MARJOE GORTNER the child preacher from years ago?

a small but growing congregation

My family is a "small but growing congregation," too. We add a new member about every two years.

"Yeah we know those catholics have a sinless record with their priests don’t we."

It's unfortunate but, especially in the US, there have been Catholics bishops, priests and laity who copied the self-centered focus of this predominately Protestant society but still claimed to be Catholic. Naturally those Catholics who fall for the errors and heresies inherent to Protestant teaching are going to be in the same mess as Protestants. The hallmark of fallen Catholics is that you can't tell them from the norm within the Protestant culture that has always dominated in this country. American society today is a predominately Protestant society in full bloom , a self-centered society where what someone desires dictates the interpretation they choose.

Fortunately, The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church founded by Christ Himself has not varied what it teaches since Christ entrusted His Church to Peter. Even though storms of heresy sometimes drive many of he sheep (and not a few shepherds) into whatever helps them fit in with the society they're in, His Church is still standing just like Christ promised it would. In addition, the Catholic Church accepts all of the Scriptures Christ and the Apostles taught from and Paul told people to search to verify the claims Christ made. Unlike Luther they don't throw out the portions of Scripture Pharisees who survived after Jersuslalem fell removed from their canon because they were so effective in leading Jews to Christ.

So on the one hand you have millions of individual interpretations, on the other hand you have a shining city on a hill that has never changed and has always been under attack by Satan but never been destroyed. People who want to pretend that a revolt again His Church that began with throwing out portions of the Bible was the origin of following His Word and that the Holy Spirit had been on vacation for fifteen hundred plus years are free to do so. The fact remains, however anyone characterizes it, those who enshrine their own interpretation of Scripture as the Truth are following Eve, not Christ and they're all in the same boat whether they like they company they're in or not.

There's an immense difference between unchanging teaching and doctrine handed down since Christ Himself anointed the Apostles and individuals each claiming to how best to interpret whatever subset of Scripture they choose to accept.

That difference is the difference between taking up your cross and following Christ or interpreting the Word as you see fit the same way Eve did.

What was fascinating about the MARJOE movie was that he was frequently waving a bible around, but never opened it. Pure emotionalism.

and you know it.

That is mind-reading and suggesting the intent to deceive - both of which are "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

While I apologize for violating the rules, I must confess that I find it very hard to believe that anyone could possibly believe that any "Fundamentalist" would perform homosexual "weddings."

Please. Vatican II completely remade the Catholic Church, going in the opposite direction of all previous church teaching.

There's an immense difference between unchanging teaching and doctrine handed down since Christ Himself anointed the Apostles and individuals each claiming to how best to interpret whatever subset of Scripture they choose to accept.

So, did "Chr*st himself" tell the apostles to teach evolution and that the first eleven chapters of Genesis are "mythology?"

If you had worded it that way, it would not have been “making it personal.”

The Scripture describes a particular sort of person as a dog returning to it's own vomit and now I finally know what that sort of dog thinks.

No matter what the dogs trotting from one pile of their own vomit to the next claim, Vatican II did not contradict, revise, or repeal anything the Church taught prior to that time. The fact that so many who claimed to be Catholic in the US and Europe wanted to join those packs of dogs who routinely revise, reinterpret, and rescind what they teach while running from one pile of vomit to the next is a failing of those individuals, not the Church. The weak minded and the vomit breathed dogs who chant accusations refuse to acknowledge that simple fact because they hope their accusations will keep other folks from realizing that the accusers are firmly focused on the worship of their own, Most High and Holy Self.

Along with the weak minded individuals dying to be part of the pack and the vomit breathed dogs, are those with such inflated egos that they cannot get over the indignity of having had to suffer minor scrapes and bruises like everyone else. Christ told us we would face adversity, false teaching, and even torture or death in order to follow Him, but these great egos refuse to accept that they should have to suffer at all. Rather than looking in the mirror, they prefer to attack Christ and Christianity for not recognizing what a special prize winning Pansy or Daffodil they are. Alas, such folks are crushed by having to deal with anything other than the buzzing of happy little bees and the scent from their fellow flowers.

These poor little flowers with hurt feelers are destined to hear Christ tell them, "I never knew you", because they cannot accept Christ as God and Savior while at the same time being angry at Christ and attacking Christ for not keeping them in a quiet garden away from the trials that are common to mere mortals. In reality, they're tools in Satan's hands even while they pretend to have found some higher truth that elevates them to a throne above Christ where they sit and condemn both Christ and Christianity. People who begin by being angry with Christ over minor trials and tribulations always end with worshiping their own, Most High and Holy Self.

In return for your 'Please', I have to say, "Thank You" for such a revealing post explaining how personal feelings, personal opinion, little bruises, and damaged feelers are are far more important than Christ and Christianity. I wasn't aware that there were people who claimed to believe in the Scripture but somehow missed the parts about suffering for and with Christ or the need to stand up to false teaching. I bet those who flee rather than standing their ground and fighting for Christ will still be rationalizing their abandonment of Christ while they're falling into the mouth of Hell. In fact, they'll probably still be pretending that it was Christ who abandoned them.

I didn't know that. So Al won. I wonder if this kid will grow up to be Dimocrat rabble-rouser like Al?

You need to get a grip.

First of all, I am not a Protestant. I do not subscribe to sola scriptura, "soul competency," Scottish common sense philosophy, the idea that the Bible is so plain that "the milkmaid or the plowman or the child of nine" may understand it, or the idea that the "holy spirit" whispers into the ear of every person who reads it what it actually means. So you can cut it out with the "everyone but me worships himself" routine.

In addition to the above, I also believe there is an official, authoritative, oral interpretive tradition. But pal . . . yours ain't it.

The Second Vatican Council went against all the previous history of Catholicism and no amount of pretending can change that fact. Vatican II reversed the church's position on ecumenism, religious liberty, Teilhard de Chardin, and just about everything else on the map. "Neocons" and papolators may pretend otherwise, but there is simply no similarity between the pre- and post-VII churches. Even the current "conservative" Pope is a Teilhardian who rejects the traditional doctrine of original sin, as can be easily seen from a simple web search.

Finally, all the huffing and puffing in the world will not change the fact that the Catholic Church now teaches both evolution and "higher criticism," including the notion that the first eleven chapters of Genesis are mythology adapted from the ancient Babylonians and Canaanites. All the screaming and hollering about people who "worship their high and holy selves" cannot alter the fact that the Catholic Church now all but officially teaches that G-d is the author of error and falsehood in these chapters. And please spare me the reference to Augustine. I'm not talking about the Hexameron here but the entire first eleven chapters of Genesis . . . the first 1948 years of history.

As for going to hell, I thought that the Catholic Church now taught that everyone goes to heaven, as suggested by that wonderful "conservative" Hans Urs von Balthasar (whom the Pope adores so much). This is another change wrought by VII: it used to be no one went to Heaven. Now everyone goes there.

Kindly drop the anti-sola scritpura rhetoric. That isn't what I'm talking about.

I went to a pentecostal Church for about 2 years and can believe anything.

It is really strange how the whole family can become ministers, even the son in laws if they do every thing their wife and father in law tells them.

So if you elect a family member for every position in the Church then they can all live in dream houses and drive fancy cars if they can get a big enough congregation.

And never do a days work in their lives.

And the well meaning Christians who are hood winked in to believing every thing they are told are the ones who pay for it with money earned actually working for a living.

Yeah, place a ten dollar bill in my hand woman and i am going to heal you, Hal la loo ya.

I always suspect the motives of humans who want to write novels that “fill in the lost years of Christ” when God appears to be silent on the issue. As for a letter “written by Christ”, novel or otherwise, it is dangerous to put words not uttered by God in Flesh into his mouth. Some folks can get so enraptured by the novelty of such a book that they may forget that it is only fiction after all and such works will not survive eternity!

Me too.

""You need to get a grip"

ROTFLMAO.

It's always nice to see people who have found a way to rationalize their abandonment of Christ and His Church because it shows just how merciful Christ really is. He allows such folks to be comfortable once they hardened their heart so that their suffering is delayed until they meet Him and are told, "I never knew you".

While it's always a real laugh to run across the sort of poster who is so obviously cross eyed with rage and foaming at the mouth whenever they post yet another repetiton of some trivial thing they think is earth shattering, it's also very sad to see such sorry dogs trotting back to their vomit. Christ said that anyone who puts their hand to the plough and then looks back is unfit for the Kingdom of God. I'm sure that totally abandoning Christ over little bumps and bruises has to qualify as looking back.

Well, as funny as such folks are I shouldn't laugh. I really do hope another earth shaking event like someone mispronouncing their name or ignoring a question from them bounces them away from whatever they've adopted and back to the One True Church.

have a nice day
