TO ALL,

May we all understand how we are supposed to speak and treat one another. Love the LORD with all your heart. Love your neighbor as yourself. Love your enemies.

Please pray the LORD's PRAYER and please read:

EPHESIANS 5:1-20

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;

4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

5 For this you know,[a] that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

9 (for the fruit of the Spirit[b] is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),

10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.

12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.

13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says:

“Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,

16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,

20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

GOD BLESS US ALL,

Jesus4life

You may wish to take your own advice, my FRiend. If I posted some of your private email to me, the audience might have a different view of your “sprituality”.

Dutchboy,

Grace and peace.

The passages are for all; the messenger.

You are not the first to misinterpret, and you will not be the last.

There are those here that love these messasages/passages, those that dont, and those that dont care.

They are just messages/passages to inspire.

JESUS loved us all, but we constantly sin ( which is nailing HIM to the cross all over again). No one is better than another. But, it takes time for us all to see it.

We are all a work in progress. We will see what we see and hear what we want to hear as the progress constantly grows.

Loving GOD, loving our neighbor, and loving our enemies is not an over night thing; for no one.

GOD BLESS US ALL,

No one, repeat no one, is "...nailing HIM to the cross all over again." Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, the Rescuer of all who are elect before the foundation of the world, voluntarily gave up His life ONCE for all. He has taken His seat at the right hand of the Majesty on High, never again to suffer. No one can cause Him to be nailed to a cross, again. This is part of the error promoted by Rome. And, some of your rather innocuous sounding remarks are laden with incorrect theological implications. As such, they tend to confuse the readers unfamiliar with certain matters.

Additionally, your cryptic remarks such as,

"We are all a work in progress. We will see what we see and hear what we want to hear as the progress constantly grows."

may appear to you to be gentle reminders. To one who has interacted with you at length, the underlying messages are crystal clear. Physician, heal thyself.

Please note that I'm not an apologist for Protestants or Catholics. I'm not a theologian. I am a believer. Frankly, the scripture can be confusing and "seemingly" contradictory.

"If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." Heb 6:6 ."
VS
" For Christ died for sins once for all..1 Peter 3:18"

Possibly these scripture can be reconciled/understood when we grasp that God/Jesus is not limited or restrained by our concept of time and space.

Presently, we see reality/truth through a glass darkly - for now.

Every person in the world is a theologian. The theology which you hold onto is the perspective which you teach through your remarks, through your life, through your personna. Some are careful with the Scriptures, other careless. We are called to correct, rebuke, admonish each other to help sharpen the focus on correct use of the Bible. Such is not unkind, cruel, or even something to always be done in private.

The passage from Heb. is from a letter written by (likely) Paul to the Jews. Its backdrop is the propensity for Jews to return to the Law of Moses to find forgiveness, through a sacrifice of animals. RE: Acts of the Apostles. Judaizing the Gospel was a rampant, ugly problem. Paul fought it tooth and nail and he rebuked Peter publicly when the smallest of hint came from Peter's behavior that the Law was still in place.

In Hebrews 6, Paul is explaining that a Judaizer view of the Law is utterly impossible to hold...and comport with the Scriptures. One cannot, must not, state or imply that sacrificing animals was anything other than a picture, a shadow, of the Real Sacrifice provided by God.

If a Jew returns to sacrificing (after hearing that the Once and For All Sacrifice was made), it is evidence that they are not among the elect, they are lost in their sins and are acting demonically evil by intimating that the sacrifice of the Lamb provided by God is inadequate. Such a remark by one's mouth or one's life discloses a damning understanding of what happened in Jerusalem that important day.

Paul is not saying Gentiles who "sin are nailing Him to a cross all over again." This muddies the water, in spite it sounding poetic.

The Jew is not really doing it either, but mocking the sacrifice is so profoundly wrongheaded that Paul uses a figure to describe the enormous evil. The second passage is the situation I described to you, originally. Your original comment on the former thread is correct: God chooses whom He will rescue. That was, and is, a very good theological statement. See, you are a theologian.

I guess the scripture below is the one you are referring to.

Galatians 2:11 th 14
11
But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

12
For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.

13
And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

14
But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

I really don,t agree or disagree because i don,t think there is enough to go on.

I would say that since we never heard Peters side of the story there may not be a story here.

Peter could have a hundred reasons for leaving the Gentiles and going to the Jews, so maybe Paul did not see it the way it really was.

Its amazing that all this Jesus4life posts is mostly just scripture also to remind people to pray the pray of our Lord yet some have a problem with a prayer from the Lord. Then marginalize it. Just crazy.

Yes i agree it is a crazy situation, maybe it is just the times we live in , the internet gives every one a chance to get their two bits worth in, and every one looks at each thing from a little different angle.

One thing for sure, it would not hurt me to pray more.

But at the same time how does any one know if some one else is praying or not? this is something we are to do from within.

You mean it should be automatic from within. I believe.

If I did not pray it would be a tragedy. Lol!

Remember bring it to the Lord.

Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

When I pray for a duration I get this peace! Amen! Bro.

I don,t have any disagreement here, but it is like i mentioned, we look at different angles.

I was thinking about another scripture.

matt 6
5
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

First Jesus tells us how not to pray, then he tells us how to pray.

Jesus is telling us not to make prayer a religion, a public ritual,he is not saying that we should go into a literal closet or room but pray from our hearts.

Perhaps we don't share the same view on the identity of the Scriptural epistles. I understand them to be God's Word, the message of disclosure from Him to mankind, written by men, but authored by God's Spirit. Thus, they explain the details of this thing we call the Gospel. That makes them definitive and exhaustive. If you couple the passage you brought up with Acts 15, you will see that the Judaizers intoxicating influence was both deadly and incorrect. Paul was quite upset when Peter (who formerly understood the gravity of the matter) fell for their admixture.

If you view the epistles as simply letters from men, then I see your point.

It is like the saying goes, honesty calls for Honesty, yes i do lean toward that view with the possible exception of revelation.

Fair enough. May I assume you are referring to the book within the Bible called, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" that claims to be penned by John? If so, what leads you to see that one as different (or shall I say "superior") from the Gospels or the Epistles?

What did Jesus do and say.

Hmmmm...

He turned over tables in the Temple and chased out the moneychangers.

He called the religious leaders of the day whitewashed tombs.

And let’s not forget about broods of vipers.
