My logic has convinced me that a proof of the existence of a God is lacking...as is a proof to the contrary. And the lack of both has me convinced that only GOD could prevent both things from occurring, by being beyond discovery. At least it's a good theory. Opinions vary.

If the Resurrection didn’t happen, the Bible is nothing but a fairy tale.

"And the lack of both has me convinced that only GOD could prevent both things from occurring..."That is a leap of faith that I am not willing to make.

Human nature and technology are in no way related.

If they lied as much then as now, then they also told the truth as much then as now."That's just what I said."

I responded to his post #11 in which gorush explains that logic makes him agnostic.
The point is that logic when combined with evidence points toward theism—specifically the Gospel of Christ.

"The point is that logic when combined with evidence points toward theism"Flawed as I am you won't be surprised to hear that I missed that.

Do you have an independent test of how smart they are,Well... to tell the difference between a high functioning retard and a low level genius takes a blood test.
BTW, I studied Latin and agnostic is not translated as ignoramus.
Do you think it 'Christian' to make a personal attack ?

I have obviously failed to be clear. I am sorry. Perhaps another time.
To: gorush
We agnostics dont mind being wrong but we just want to know why so that we can ammend our positions. How can you be 'wrong' if you haven't picked an answer ?

No. And if you felt attacked, I apologize.
But if you read my post strictly from a logical approach, you can see that it reads as a direct question without any personal attack.
I was quoting a Cambridge scholar regarding agnostic being translated in Latin as “ignoramus.” I would think it’s close.

Congratulations on a religious thread that approaches 100 responses. I am happy to help.Well... when you start off with the question of whether GOD is a liberal, and then back up to proving GOD even exists, it can take some time.
Rather like asking the question of whether Obama is a legal candidate for President, then backing up to prove he even exists. That one is taking a long , long time.

"How can you be 'wrong' if you haven't picked an answer ?"There are far more opportunities to be wrong than there are to be right...hence my consternation and search.
