Does our flag still wave?

TOPICS: Current Events; History; Moral Issues; Religion & Culture
KEYWORDS: forbes; hal; lindsey; randy
Hal Lindsey's 7/20/12 video program starts off with Rep. J. Randy Forbes of Virgina's speech to the House of Representatives on May 6, 2009. This speech was made after Pres. Obama had gone to Turkey and told them that the U.S. was no longer a Judeo-Christian nation. Hal then goes on to quote several of our Founding Fathers in an argument that our nation was founded on Christian principles. About 27 minutes and worth your time.

I looked out at her this quiet and still, pleasant morning and though she was brave about it, and tried not to show it .. I saw her shudder.

I think she doesn't want to hurt me and is trying to appear to wave.

I apologized to her a millionth time for allowing myself to be sidetracked during the late '60's and early '70's, but again promised to not be silent for her and pray for God's breath to once again fill her folds.

Mine used to fly 24/7, now it flies only on

1. Memorial Day (half-staff sunrise ‘till noon, full-staff to sunset)
2. Sept. 11 (half-staff sunrise to sunset)
3. Veterans’ Day (full-staff sunrise to sunset)

Been that way since June 12, 2008.

I said THREE days and I meant THREE days.

I served under it, but this particular one is MY flag.
I fly MY flag to honor those who sacrificed and those who WERE sacrificed.

I was at a UCLA baseball game a few months ago. I got choked up as usual when they played a recorded “Star Spangled Banner”. Somehow it always happens. Fortunately, no one seemed to notice, even as I used a tissue to wipe the tears.
