Moscow, August 27, Interfax - Russian Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said that Communists will not allow Lenin's re-burial and that Lenin's current resting place complies with the Christian tradition.
"This form of burial corresponds to the Orthodox canons and traditions. Don't fuss. Or are you going to provoke more bloodshed, similar to that in Chechnya, right on Red Square?" Zyuganov said at a press conference in Interfax on Monday.
Lenin's resting place is not an exception. Epic Russian hero Ilya Muromets's remains can be seen in the Kiev Laura of the Caves Monastery, he said.
The remains of those buried at the Kremlin Wall cannot be re-buried either, he said. "Reburial is only possible with the relatives' consent. But none of them has ever supported this idea," Zyuganov said.

He's probably more wax than flesh anyway.
Russian Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said that Communists will not allow Lenin's re-burial and that Lenin's current resting place complies with the Christian tradition.
So the godless communists are worried about how Lenin's above ground "burial" complies with Christian tradition. Ouch! I just got ideological whiplash.
Maybe just leave the "grave" open and unguarded for the weekend and let the crows take care of him.

why not leave him there — as a shrine to a fallen religion (communism)? Let Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov remain there

Actually, I oppose his re-burial too.
His remains should be dumped into the street in Red Square, followed by the entire population of Moscow grinding his worthless carcass into dust with their feet.
