No. It’s about teams not having to completely re-design an offense to accommodate a great kid, a great athlete, but a lousy passer. Why is this so hard to grasp?
Indeed, the wicked hate the rightious with a hatred even they cannot understand.
One other fact. Tebow WON a playoff game, Manning has yet to do that.
of course Manning is making 10 times as much.
Also” Tebow had much better stats in college than the guy that replaced him.
Here’s hoping Tebow hangs on to his dream of becoming a bonafide NFL QB and not let negative or doubtful minds define who and what he is. Keep believing and working at it Tim.
In the end it is Tebow's call 15 years as a tight end or H back or 15 games as a Q.B.
It really is up to Tebow now.
I am what you would call a secular Freeper... religion is just not my thing, or minimally, my faith is mine and I am unwilling to proselytize something so very personal.
Also... I find televised professional football (NFL) boring, and nothing but a venue to sell cornchips and pasteurized beer made out of rice (I was very spoiled with a roommate that subscribed to Setanata on DirecTV and became captivated by the truly athletic sport of Rugby... TV timeouts? What? In rugby they keep playing as the wounded are tended to on the field of battle).
Regardless of everything above I have babbled about, thank you for posting this link. It was well-written and tells a “good story”... which is needed right now while we are all feeling humiliated and walked on by the Godless Communist/Occupy Pennsylvania Avenue Community Organizer that 49% of this country voted for... a man currently on a mission to strip law-abiding citizens of their God-given right to take up arms to protect the rest of our rights from being usurped by purple-lipped tyrants.
God is not mock and while we can't see all ends we know that He is in control of the situation.
No, Tebow hasn’t shown good ability on pre-snap reads or pst snap reads that he needs to make it to be a minimally effective passer. Beyond that, his mecahnics are atrocious, his footwork is poor, his throwing motion is awkward, and the time between his decision and his release is far too long, largely related to his throwing motion. Other than that, he’s a great Quarterback.
Trent Dilfer has become a fairly well recognized authority on what successful NFL QBs do as far as their overall throwing mechanics. He says the Tebow mechanics are really far off.
I don’t know about reading defenses my guess is experience is the best remedy, but I am of the opinion that technique can be corrected and improved, though it takes time, tremendous effort, and a lot of coaching.
I can’t really point out where Tebow’s mechanics have improved from one season to the next. I suspect that this may have been the issue that the Jets complained about his practice habits, though I have no proof and the Jets are a real mess.
Ping for later
Yep. American elitists have been abusing out of the closet Christians for a long time. They despise good and celebrate evil. It’s going to become systematic unless we can come together and become a political force they do not want to mess with.
I would just note, for someone who “sucks” as a QB, Tebow won more playoff games for the Broncos that Manning did.
Football is a business. If Tim Tebow strongly contributes to winning, he’ll play ... maybe with some diversions until the best use of his ability is found.
I expected this article to be about his falling into sin in the fleshpots of New York. That would be a bad outcome. Experiencing either hardship because of his faith or a difficult professional situation (I’m not qualified to say which) isn’t much, in light of eternity.
