Before the conclave today in Rome, the Central Council of Muslims in Germany (ZMD) and the movement "We Are Church" for spoke in support of a cosmopolitan Pope. I may have some problems with my church as it has been the last 20 years, but allowing the koranimals to define the changes she should make is not going to make me rejoin it.

I didn't leave the catholic church; it left me. This ain't helping.

Publius - I invite you back into the RC Church. Twenty years ago, the church was infested with liberalism disease, and that was the apex of the sexual abuses going on with some of the gay clergy. I do agree with you that it was a terrible time to be a Catholic, and it was so easy to turn one’s back on such behavior.

Today, the newer bishops have reformed the seminaries, and vocations sre up. The new priests are so devout and on fire with the love of Jesus, the Church, and the congregations they serve. If you came back, you would really notoce the difference. You may want to talk to some Catholics who are regular attendees, and get theor perspective about it. Some of the older priests are still liberals, while others are orthodox.

One thing that I find interesting is that often the younger priests are the firmest in their obdience to the commandments, the Pope, and the catechism of the church.

Now, if only the hierarchy would get some courage and excommunicate Pelosi, Durbin, Kerry, et al.

". . . and attributes everything to Space Aliens."

You got that right. The Egyptians couldn't possibly have figured out how to stack blocks on one another.

No human could have figured out how to dig a trench around some ancient monument in China. His major, killer, point, though, is that no mere human could have ever figured out how to make a straight line and then, intersect it with another straight line !!! Case closed, it's all aliens all the time.

huh? you mean an article where some nutters say "you should do this" means that they are "defining the changes"?? Would you also say that the MSM advising conservatives to accept gay marriage etc. is us "allowing gays to define ourselves"?

that's a ludicrous statement in your post
