It appears he means that the SSPX sect or perhaps the sedevacantist schism are the Roman orthodox.

‘He despises sacrality, and has de facto prohibited the application of Summorum Pontificum. He is an utter enemy of Tradition, ill-minded, almost maffiosi.”

Summorum Pontificum”... The document specified the circumstances in which priests of the Latin Church may celebrate Mass according to the “Missal promulgated by John XXIII in 1962” (the form known as the Tridentine Mass), and administer most of the sacraments in the form used before the liturgical reforms that followed the Second Vatican Council. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summorum_Pontificum

“What? Somebody is “very Orthodox” because he opposes gay marriage? There are tons of Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses and Muslims who do that.”

There are child abusers among them as well but do they get the attention the the CC gets? No, because they’re not in the media’s cross-hairs.

Agree, we don’t know yet how Orthodox he is but taking on the president of Argentine publicly on homosexual marriage and inadvertently calling them followers of the Father of Lies is an indicator.

Well, I will certainly agree it is an indicator of his boldness, which is very good, and his orthodoxy on that particular position. I just don't go in for the new Christian model of orthodoxy which defines the entirety of the faith in regards to one or two very controversial issues. To be orthodox means more than merely opposing abortion and gay marriage. These are important moral issues, but they don't comprise the Christian faith.

Bottomline - I’m a Catholic layperson - period. Sometimes one finds oneself debating on political terms rather than theological. One is either a Catholic meaning they follow the docrine of the Mystical Body or they’re not. I don’t believe there are any degrees. Thusfar Pope Francis is following Catholic theology and then some...
