Today, we will look a little closer
at the Words in this beautiful Psalm.
The bible is like a hidden treasure;
the more we spend time to read it
the more we discover great things in it.
Psalm 23 gives us the job description of a Shepherd
and because The Lord is our shepherd,
it tells us what He does for us as His sheep.
Verse 1 says The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
I do not believe the word 'want' means our 'desire',
but it means our 'needs'.
A shepherd makes sure that He feeds, guides
and shields the sheep so that they are not found wanting.
In this case God provides, guides and shields US
so that we do not find ourselves wanting in this world.
For the next few days, I will be 'filling in' for Mary-Lou,
As she visits her mother, who is recovering from illness.
If you have any special needs, or questions, please feel free to FReepmail me.
Blessings to all who enter this Garden of Prayer
for His Holy Land, Jerusalem,
our Country, and for those with special needs.
Thank you, yorkie! Prayers up!
Praying with you for the Peace of Jerusalem, our FRiends in need and our beloved Nation.
Blessings, etabeta
Thank you, Silentgypsy, for your prayers for Jerusalem, our country, and those in need.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.
Deuteronomy 6:4
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
James 2:19
I am concerned “they” are going to use the man who calls himself Obama’s trip to Jerusalem as a trigger for a pre-planned event of some evil intent.
I pray for ALL of Israel and know, though it may fit within God’s plans, it WILL fail!
Nevertheless, I pray for PEACE...
I join in prayer for Israel, Jerusalem and all God’s beloved.
Thank you, etabeta, for your prayers
For Jerusalem, our nation, and those in need.
Thank you, No, for your prayers for peace in Jerusalem, our Nation, and for those in need.
Thank you, Teenie, for your beautiful graphic,
And your prayers for the Peace of Jerusalem, our Nation, and those in need.
An excellent book to read is called *A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23* by W. Phillip Keller.
He was a shepherd in the Middle East before becoming a pastor and looks at Psalm 23 from the sheep’s and the shepherd’s perspective.
Thank you, Alamo-Girl,
For your Prayers for the Peace of Jerusalem
And for God's beloved.
Thank you, metmom,

It sounds VERY interesting!
Thank you, too, for your prayers for Jerusalem.
“He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteous for His name's sake....”
“I will fear no evil for thou art with me; thy rod and thy “staff they comfort me”
‘Thou preparest a table before me, ..., thou anointest my head with oil, (which is a major blessing), my cup runneth over ...”
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER.”
IT QUIETS THE SOUL
OR I FIND IT VERY REASSURING.
THANK THEE LORD, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN. ************************************************************
Thank thee, LORD, for the blessings showered upon the people daily. Thou art merciful, full of loving kindness, good, pure, truth, having compassion, filling us with the desire to know thee LORD., Thou art the provider of all, seeing, hearing, breathing, walking, talking, healing, without Thee we can do no thing. Forgive our sins and lead us in the way to eternal life with thee, Father. We love Thee.
We pray for the peace of Israel, Jerusalem, for the persecuted believers, for the lost, for the restoration of America to our former faith and Christian values, in Jesus name, amen. ____________________________________________________________
