Conservative Free Republic - You Need REALITY and the Savior

My dear friends, I know I'm going to get it for this post but in love I must say it (2 Cor. 12:15). Someone has to and it might as well be me. For the past 5 years I have been feeling the spiritual temperature at Free Republic and other conservative forums and have found that moral and biblical relativism, biblical ignorance, conservative optimism, Christian ecumenicalism and the outright rejection of the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, Rom. 10:2-4, 1 Cor. 15:1-4, Eph. 2:8-9) nearly dominate this and other conservative forums. Thank God for Free Republic, they do a great job, are sincere and mean well and are a great group of people who truly love America and conservatism as I do, but... that in itself is not enough to aid us in this dire hour. An individual today has to see the complete ETERNAL picture and that includes biblical REALITY and the reception of it. Conservatism without a saving relationship to Jesus Christ as the Holy Scriptures clearly teach is ETERNALLY bankrupt.

American conservatives of today are no different from the Pharisees of Jesus day. These were conservative, moral, go to "church" to put it in our day language and were quite familiar with the Old Testament, but when push came to shove they outright rejected Almighty God's righteousness and saving solution for their souls in SPIRIT and TRUTH and held their traditions and conservatism above the Word of Almighty God.

Thank God for some God fearing, Bible believing, evangelical presence at Free Republic, who help point America's conservatives to the Gospel, the REALITY of the hour and Almighty God's biblical perspective, but sadly these are usually scoffed at and laughed to scorn by American conservatives who are lost and without a saving relationship to Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel (Isa. 53, Matt. 7:21-32, Rom. 10:2-4, 1 Cor. 2:14). Tragically the dominant spirit there is one of unbelief, subjective conservative optimism, spiritual delusion and ETERNAL blindness (Rom. 10:2-4). The temperature and pulse of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is near dead and ice cold. That is a heart breaking reality that God the Father has had to show me these last five years and with tears in my eyes I wish I could change that but I cannot choose for an individual to receive the Savior. American conservatives of today are no different from the Pharisees of Jesus day. These were conservative, moral, go to "church" to put it in our day language and were quite familiar with the Old Testament but when push came to shove they outright rejected Almighty God's righteousness and saving solution for their souls in SPIRIT and TRUTH (John 4:24) and held their traditions and conservatism above the Word of Almighty God (Matt. 15:1-20, Rom.10:1-4).

The temperature and climate of American conservatives who actually believe the Bible and its saving message is dead and ice cold and that is a heart breaking reality that God the Father has had to show me.

My dear friends, oh how we need Divine REALITY today and not delusional optimism and worldly solutions for our EXPONENTIAL global crises. Almighty God cries out to you all day long but will YOU receive Him and His ETERNAL solutions for your life? That is the biggest question ALL must ask themselves in these last days. All these current events and crises of our global community are self induced by the lawless and godless works of fallen man and are driving this world straight into the Day of the Lord (Rom. 1:18-32, Gal. 6:7, Rev. 6-19). These products or fruits of evil men and their consequences are left in place to bring us to the brink of our delusions so that we may come out of our subjective selves and show us our desperate need for the Savior, His pardon, and His RIGHTEOUSNESS.

My dear friends, WHAT WILL YOU DO? Will you continue to look for worldly solutions and conservative human saviors or will you finally come to the end of yourself and receive the KING of kings and LORD of lords who is the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR and PRINCE of PEACE.

All ETERNITY is before us and our brief existence in this fallen world is about gone. See the ETERNAL, see the Savior, see the REALITY and you will find the liberation and peace of Almighty God that will calm your hearts in America's last hours.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!" (Acts 16:29)!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Sadly, according to Scripture, the rain falls upon the just and the unjust .

It does in general, yet the Scripture also make clear that God judges sin, and national sins bring national judgment (Jer. 18:8-10) - esp. after they have been warned.

And aside from special judgments, America's war against God is costing plenty in lives, souls and money.

Thus Presbyterian Preacher and political leader Ian Paisley, as he spoke before Parliament, warned:

"Those who want to destroy standards and lower safeguards can easily apply the label of morality to their principles, but when they advocate those principles, their real objective is to get rid of morality and religion. This nation has a soul and a conscience, but it has no eternity. Every person in this Chamber has a soul and a conscience and every person has eternity to face. We shall all give account of ourselves to almighty God at the end of the day, but nations are judged in time for their policies, their moralities, their violence, and their crimes.

What of the great nations of the past—the dominant nations that led the world, controlled destinies, and became the great empires? What of Babylon? What of Persia? What of the Greek kingdom? What of the Roman empire? What destroyed them? One has only to read the history books to realize the debris that they left because they gave themselves over to the very things that pervert society and take it down a road that has only ruin at its end. The House very well knows that there is no history book that does not record the ruin of nations because of their departure from morality, truth, and righteousness. Judgement will come in time, but it would be far better for us, as legislators, to try to avert such judgment coming upon the nation.”

Rather, 2,000 years ago God warned of judgment and eternal damnation upon those who loved sin more than His Divine Son, sent to be the savior of the world.

Romans 14 is simply not teaching liberty of belief in all things, but contextually is dealing with areas in which the Christian has liberty. They do not have liberty to be gluttons, but do have freedom to eat clams, though overall care for the body also calls for a healthy diet.

People like you are why I no longer associate with Christians. I am sick and tired of people telling me that their faith is superior to my reason. What we need is fewer people telling us all what we need. How are you any different than a “progressive”.

By denigrating those who hold to a different conclusion than yours, you also are telling us your reasoning is superior to theirs, whom you want to engage in censuring. Truth is exclusive by nature and it is liberalism that wants to deny that, while, like Islam, they want to mandate conformity to their ideology without debate. In addition, the objectively baseless moral reasoning of atheism can justify anything as reasonable.

So in your America it is wrong to invoke the liturgy of someone else? Teddy Roosevelt wrote Nine Reasons Why a Man Should Go to Church.

And if you refuse to follow the path of someone else then that would be anarchist than American.

Indeed he did, as such were part of the ceremonial laws, of "meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation," (Hebrews 9:10) but such freedom does not extend to the moral laws.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

But FR is not Christianity. It is an association of people who have a shared set of beliefs that directly impact the governance of the nation. Christianity exemplifies many of those beliefs, but because God’s law is the law everywhere and all the time, many who are not Christian have the same views and public policy objectives, and that’s a good thing.

Well said. I gladly stand next to any Jew, Mormon, Hindu, Sikh, or Atheist (or whatever) who holds the same limited government, pro individual, pro life values I do.

There are many faithful and Bible-believing Catholics on FR too.

How do you make yourself out to be the jury and judge of all?

I always thought that was God’s job.

Remember, while we are alive, Christ is perfect mercy.

At the moment of our death, Christ is perfect justice.

I have always believed that a true conservative must also be a true Bible believers.

You can't be a 'Bible believer' if you aren't first free to believe it. Being Conservative is about promoting that freedom. You can't freely accept Christ if you aren't first free. Christianity isn't true if it is by compulsion. Conservatism is about that freedom. Freedom of religion, freedom of life, freedom of liberty. That freedom gives us the ability to freely choose Christ. Without it, whatever faith we have is no better than old dusty tradition we follow because everyone else does.

Conservatism is about every INDIVIDUAL who believes in that freedom.

You are a strange one to be be invoking Jesus since you refuse to follow the path of someone else, while the Lord Jesus never said we are not to engage in valid judgement in calling men sinners in need of repentance, as He sent souls to do so, (Mk. 6:12; Mt. 23:24) but He condemned a self-righteous censorious judgmental spirit (Mt. 7:1) and presumption, (Jn. 7:24) which is what you are engaging in.
