Psalm 8

A Psalm of David.

1. O LORD, our Lord,
how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
2. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings
hast thou ordained strength
because of thine enemies,
that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
3. When I consider thy heavens,
the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which thou hast ordained;
4. What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5. For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels,
and hast crowned him with glory and honor.
6. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands;
thou hast put all things under his feet:
7. All sheep and oxen, yea,
and the beasts of the field;
8. The fowl of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Wonderful,
How Majestic,
How Excellent is Your Most Holy Name!
Our Hearts overflow with praise and Wonder at Your Glory!
You Alone Are Worthy of Our Love and Adoration,
You Alone Are Worthy Of Worship,
For You Alone Are The Omnipotent,
Eternal and Omniscient,
Everlasting and Almighty God!

Abba, Father,
You are the Strength of My Life!
Of Whom should I be afraid?
You created all there is!
Why should I fear Anything
When You are my Shield?
Father, we bring the Sacrifice of Joy
And Praise into Your House!
When we see the enemy compassed about,
It is sometimes a BIG Sacrifice to be Joyful,
Yet You Command it!
Gracious LORD,
You Alone are A Shield for Your People
Surely, in spite of all the enemy has done,
Your People are still with us.
We Know You Are The Creator,
The God Who Made Everything Out of Nothing.
How Awesome is Your Imagination!
The Heavens declare Your Glory in the icy realms of Space!

We pray for the Repentance, Restoration, and Renewal of Our Beloved Nation.
We Pray For Families,
that They will prosper and Grow in You
We Pray For Children,
That They will Be Raised to Love You

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

I LOVE this Psalm!The same God Who created the Vast Expanses of the Universe, with its awesome splendor and variety, also created Man and ordained the Human Family as the ideal arrangement for living in His World.

This same concept is continued in the Christian Bible, in the Gospels and letters that make up what is called the "New Testament". But we will see that what is called "New" is actually as Old as Eternity.
