I didn't watch the movie...Did the beating and torture of Jesus make up the majority of the movie???
The “real presence” in the sun cookie is Satan.
Yeshua is not a commodity to be doled out by pedophile nicolaitans.
I’m not in a place to discount any “blessing or consecration” placed on instruments meant for the worship of God and the commemoration of the blood and body of Jesus. Christ drove out the money changers from a temple largely re-built by Godless Herod, calling such “His Father’s house”. Hence it might be possible for a demon possessed person to be affected by such instruments blessed in God’s name. When it comes to any phenomena, one needs to withhold one’s judgment and watch....over time the truth will be made manifest.
you guys are funny two protestants discussing what is a thoroughly Catholic movie, like you were some kind of movie critics.
Right.
Draws out all the demon possessed catholics that partake of the sun god cookie to mock the words of Yeshua.
There was an almost 15-20 minute sequence of out and out sadism. I heard the attempt was to really show what a roman scourge could do to impress upon 21st century violence adverse Christian viewers what the Lord went thru, yet even the Bible didn’t do a “blow by blow” version that this film attempted.
In other words, you couldn’t pick out a consecrated ‘cracker’ either...How do you know your priest is a real Catholic priest, or not an undercover Satanist himself??? How do you know you’ve ever actually eaten a real consecrated cracker???
With all the corrupt and fake popes in your line back to Peter (however fractured), you figure it was God that gave those the power as well to magically pass on whatever power comes from laying on of the hands to the next bishops???
Interesting post. I read some of the comments and as usual, some Freepers can’t help but be contradictory. While there may be a ‘Catholic twist’ to the article I don’t doubt the sincerity of the author.
The mocking and desecration of the Eucharist reminds me of the testimony of Richard Wurmbrand, a Romanian preacher imprisoned for his faith when he was living in Romania when it was a soviet bloc. He stated that his communist torturers would force Christians to hold a mock mass and would use bodily waste in place of the wine and wafers, then force Christians to consume it while mocking Christ. That is pure evil and in reality, a black mass. Communism is pure evil and is the anti Christ.
Christ stated: “unless you eat of the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink his Blood, you will not have life within you..”
Catholics have been going to Mass and receiving the Eucharist for about two millennia:
so how long has the minister from your sect been practicing?
have you attended the same sect your whole life?
Are your parents and children all going to the same sect?
Can you go anywhere in the world have have your sect have a church within walking distance?
If you added up all the members of your sect worldwide, would they be less than the number of freepers?
or do you just go to you own church at home every Lord’s Day?

Unlike you guys, we read the book the movie was supposedly made from...That qualifies us as critics...
The movie was shopped to Protestant churches as well as Catholic in many cities. Gibson knew the movie would fail if a bunch of “Bubbaville” Baptists didn’t load up the church van on a Sunday night across the nation and go see the film at least once! So here we are...”critic’ izing”
you said: “Your post is based on an incorrect inference from what I said”
I am sorry but I quoted you accurately - I did not infer anything other than what you typed.
What you typed was probably just a Freudian slip.

Why do you come and want to bash Catholics?
In response to your question, Episcopalians in the US are ordaining homosexuals. It used to be they ordained persons who may have been or were “oriented” that way but who were not engaged in the actual practice of homosexual relations. Now, they are and are proud to flaunt it in the face of God and everyone else. They are an apostate church.
Anglicans in the US consist of some former Episcopalians who left that body as well as others (converts, new Christians, etc) who formed new parishes, congregations, missions, churches and dioceses. It is my understanding that most of these bodies are orthodox in their faith and practice, although there are some who seem to be a bit strange. The original break from the Episcopal Church came in 1977. One church body was formed. They did not and do not ordain homosexuals or women as priests. Unfortunately, this body fractured into three groups, all of whom remained orthodox but who differed in actual practice. I’m sorry this happened but it is a fact. All call themselves Anglican so as to distinguish themselves from the Episcopal Church [this becomes confusing since Anglicans overseas are now ordaining homosexuals as priests]. Not all Anglicans believe in the “real Presence” of Our Lord in the Body and Blood. Some hold a more Protestant view of the Holy Communion, that the elements of bread and wine are memorials only as opposed to those who hold a higher view that Christ is truly present in the elements of bread and wine.
Yes.
Most Lutheran’s believe in the Real Presence of the Body and Blood.
High Anglicans do also.
Thank-you for making my day with your comment.
