A church in the US state of Virginia has taken the bizarre decision to allow its congregation to attend services in the nude.
Pastor Allen Parker, the leader of White Tail Chapel in the town of Southampton, said he came to the decision to allow naked worship after concluding the clothing requirements of other churches were overly 'pretentious',
Speaking to CNN, Mr Parker said: 'When he [Jesus] was born he was naked, when he was crucified he was naked and when he arose he left his clothes in the tomb and he was naked.'
'If God made us that way, how can that be wrong?' he added.

But the thing you don't realize is that there's good naked and bad naked.
White Tail Chapel?
So white tails are in at White Tail?
The “they” of “they were naked” was Adam and Eve. They were unashamed because they were sinless. For us to display our nakedness is to deny shame, which ultimately, is to deny our current sinful state.
Kinda gives the song “Come Just As You Are” a whole new meaning.
Yes sir, glad you pointed that out.
Furthermore, once Adam and Eve sinned they WERE ashamed and GOD MADE THEM CLOTHES!
Bad nekkid. That’s bad nekkid right there.
There’s a reason for clothes beyond keeping warm. If Kate Upton is a member of the church that’s one thing but most folks just need to keep their clothes on in public and I’m including myself in that.
But some pastors are so anxious to increase attendance and collection plate offerings, they will try anything.
I predict that, as usual, those most likely to show up nekkid will be the ones who look the worst doing it.
When do they start allowing temple prostitutes?
I don't know how this increases attendance. And even if I were to go to church nekid, I wouldn't have anywhere to put my wallet, ergo, nothing for the collection plate.
Hmmm. Maybe pastor’s been hitting the communion wine?
Honestly, this sounds more like a late-60’s thing than a modern one.
