Try to recall the story of the Wedding at Cana. Mary’s words are the last words in the Bible — she always deferred to her son. That’s how we know she will pass on our prayers.

“Do whatever he tells you.”

Diana, Astarte, Semiramis.

That is who you are praying to when you pray to Mary.

The Bible is full of admonitions about communicating with dead humans (that includes Mary and the Saints).

The mother of our Lord is the most blessed woman who ever lived...but she was a human being. If you believe she was a goddess...you are not a Christian...you are a pagan.

So do you see that Mary interceded for the couple who had run out of wine?

She intercedes in a similar way for us too.

Other things not mentioned in the Bible: the light bulb, penicillin, the telephone, automatic transmissions...

I assume you don’t use any of those things, either.

And tell me how I am wrong. Do you deny that goddess worship was an major influence at the time of Christ? Do you deny that those who spread Christianity were often willing to bend the rules to invite the goddess worshipers into the fold (syncretism).

Do you deny that the early Church might have bent the rules because they were human?

Let me ask you this...is Mary the Queen of Heaven? And is she a human or is she a goddess (without sin)?

“What does the Bible say about repetitious prayer?”

Nothing really. It does say something against VAIN and repetitious prayer. Jesus could never condemn repetitious prayer itself because He engaged in it in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Catholics do not “worship” Mary; we worship Father, Son and Holy Spirit, OK?

I don’t know how many times Catholics have given Protestants and other non-Catholics that answer. It’s truly puzzling to me why it isn’t believed.

We do ask Mary to pray for us and to pass our prayers on to the Father Son and Holy Spirit.

To answer your question about heaven...God the Father and God the Son, Jesus Christ, honor Mary as the Queen Mother.

Do you honor your mother? Christ did!!!

I remember a pope that gave his assasin a sterling silver rosary while he was in jail.

Since then I’ve wanted one. Now I read here not to get one?

I do get relief praying and thinking about the hardships Jesus had to endure. Thinking of Jesus does ease some of my pain (mental anguish). And that’s without a rosary.

She didn’t do any editing or even complain. I pulled your post because it was personal and could result in nothing but trouble.

I love Mary too, but she is a dead human and we are admonished not to communicate with the dead (and that includes Saints).

There was no more wonderful woman EVER than Mary, but where does this communication with her come from if not from the Church's syncretism of goddess worship?

BTW God/Yeshua are/is listening to you. You do not need an intermediary.

He made you...He is fully capable of listening to you without the intercession of another human.

Okay. Thx.

I know you mods do a great job and I appreciate it much.

I just like to be as honest as I can be.

I am a very devout Christian but like to speak the Truth as I know it.

I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings but the truth always hurts someone...usually those who have tried to deny it.

Thx again for all you do. FR is the greatest!

Shouldn't Jesus come ahead of that? Why do you put Mary above Jesus?

Is she the Queen of Heaven? Is she above our Lord?

Most welcome.

I can only imagine the hard work that must go into moderating a bunch of well-meaning folks who don't always get along!;-)

The important thing is...because of your work, the Truth occasionally squeaks its way through.
