I bet you had a knee jerk reaction, did you ever think to pray and asked the Lord for more understanding or like so many just jump to conclusion and try not to realized that this must of had something to do with the War I Heaven.

I asked several people I knew about this. Three were Mormon, one being my uncle, my mother's brother.
I asked priests and I asked friends. The folks I asked did NOT understand the Mormon take on the Jesus-Lucifer brother question...even the Mormons.
But, YOU assumed, perhaps, that I didn't ask anyone. You "bet" I had a knee jerk reaction...well, initially I did then ASKED people. Maybe YOU assume things you ought not to have assumed.

Maybe it DID have something to do with the war in heaven. Maybe it didn't. Who knows for sure. That STILL doesn't answer the question WHY the Mormons, who are not considered Christians by most Christians, that PART of the faith's beliefs is that Jesus, God, and Lucifer, a created being, an angel, are brothers. Doesn't make much sense to me. Does it to you?

GOD bless you.

I assume because of so much I have witness here over the years and refuse to even try to see the bigger picture.

I was the only one in my family who converted I was living in NYC on my own and I was seeking answers to some passages in the Bible, and no one could answer, earlier when was younger I was Presbyterian (13) years later left home I was living in a home of a Presbyterian Minister and family, than after that I took my questions to the Lord, and I was on an 18 year quest for truth, some of my story is on this thread.

I was serious, I just knew there was an answer, until one day a friend gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon, which never seem to fit into my library, so it keep getting in the way there is more too this, but that was the start of journey since 1982. So many I have read here was leaving the Church, at the time but I was getting answers to my questions, because from pass experience I learn to take it to the Lord.

Now that I think of it Joseph Smith said I teach them correct principles and they govern themselves.

That is how I feel about the Church you know right from wrong now exercise what you know. I feel it is something the Lord taught me and I concur with Bro Joseph.

Now I was not aware of the LDS stuff, but I knew instinctively what to do I always knew my master voice which witness to be when I would read the Bible.

I was not getting answers from those around me, and I really never knew a Mormon in my 38 years. I am sure glad that my friend gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon he was a recent convert, so he say just read it, I did a year later when I was going to throw it out!:)

Before I did that I read the verse marked in Moroni 10:3-5 The power of the witness of the Spirit of the Holy Ghost was such Joy I had to know more.

My life today is so much different than it would have been and Temple has given me such comfort and courage to walk this walk, where I was headed had I not found the rest of the word of the Lord and counsel, I shutter.

I thank the Lord everyday and the reading of the scriptures are rich full experience and it keeps unfolding marvelous wonders of the Lord. I read you reply, I don't know if you took it to the Lord as counsel in D&C 6.

D&C 6
2 Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart.

3 Now, behold, this is the spirit of revelation; behold, this is the spirit by which Moses brought the children of Israel through the Red Sea on dry ground.

4 Therefore this is thy gift; apply unto it, and blessed art thou, for it shall deliver; you out of the hands of your enemies, when, if it were not so, they would slay you and bring your soul to destruction.

5 Oh, remember these words, and keep my commandments. Remember, this is your gift.

6 Now this is not all thy gift; for you have another gift, which is the gift of Aaron; behold, it has told you many things;

7 Behold, there is no other power, save the power of God, that can cause this gift of Aaron to be with you.

8 Therefore, doubt not, for it is the gift of God; and you shall hold it in your hands, and do marvelous works; and no power shall be able to take it away out of your hands, for it is the work of God.

9 And, therefore, whatsoever you shall ask me to tell you by that means, that will I grant unto you, and you shall have knowledge concerning it.

10 Remember that without faith you can do nothing; therefore ask in faith. Trifle not with these things; do not ask for that which you ought not.

11 Ask that you may know the mysteries of God, and that you may translate and receive knowledge from all those ancient records which have been hid up, that are sacred; and according to your faith shall it be done unto you.

12 Behold, it is I that have spoken it; and I am the same that spake unto you from the beginning. Amen.

The Lord said In my Father’s house are many mansions: We are all different and the only the Lord knows our desire.

The good Lord bless in your journey, amen

John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were‍ not so,‍ I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there‍ ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
