healing prayers to your mother and prayers for you as you await the results.
That was so awful. And what about having the IRS involved in medical care- Cause who is better qualified to meet your health needs than an IRS agent.(/s!!)
You don't require much healthcare until you reach you get older anyway. Is the point of medicine now going to be about how little care can be provided to those who need it the most? Disgusting!
It's very sad to read of older people being turned down for surgery that could have given them relief from pain and suffering.( I know my mom has been in terrible pain from her knee. She said the pain pills aren't even helping anymore.)
Why people haven't marched on D.C. with the torches and pitchforks over Obamacare is beyond me. It has turned everyone's lives upside down.
Thank you everyone for the advice and prayers. I will update when I get a chance.
Thanx and cheers to you!
Prayers sent.
As an additional comfort to you, I can say that I have a BIL who had both knees replaced at your mother’s age. And he has Type II diabetes. He is doing just fine.
I pray that she’ll come through A-OK and I think she will. Good for you for caring about your mother.
Prayers for your mother....and you.

Sending a prayer your and your mom’s way. Knees strike most of us by the 70s, but new procedures are relieving the discomfort. I’d pray your mom enjoys that removal of pain and restoration of full use of her knee.
Prayers that your mom’s surgery will go well. And that the recovery time is short and successful.
She’s on MediScare so they deny it based on age.
We made an appeal for he. There is a cost for not doing the case. Be a PITA to some bureaucrat.

Prayers that the surgery went well today and a speedy recovery for her.
Hope all went well for your sweet Mama.
Sending healing prayers for her, and you.
She is still in the hospital, might be able to come home Saturday.
She is having a lot of pain, but that is expected.
Thank you to everyone for praying for her and for your stories about knee surgeries.
My mom also thanks you- I read your posts to her before surgery. It helped to reassure us about it.
Good to hear! Hopefully she is able to take meds to ease the pain. It’s best to not let the pain get out in front because she needs to be comfortable to do her physical therapy. I will keep your Mom in my prayers and I wish her a speedy recovery!
