You are right. I chose the wrong word.

All other christian churches were established by man.

The Catholic Church was established by Jesus.

You can believe what you want to believe.

Do you not believe that God can do all things?

Do you not believe His Word as the Truth?

As Jesus stated many times (refernces by many posters) that He is the Bread of Eternal Life.

The Catholic Church has 2000 years of acceptance of this belief (the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist), so how are you the expert on the Catholic belief?

Did you not read where Christ addresses the issue of those followers that did not have sufficient faith and refused to eat his body and drink His blood? They stopped being followers of Jesus.

It is very clear, yet you do not believe.

Instead you call it “cultic”. The members of the Catholic Church make up the Body of Christ.

Eucharist
The Eucharist is the most august sacrament, in which Christ himself is contained, offered and received, and by which the Church constantly lives and grows. The Eucharistic Sacrifice, the memorial of the death and resurrection of the Lord, in which the sacrifice of the cross is perpetuated over the centuries, is the summit and source of all Christian life and worship; it signifies and effects the unity of the people of God and achieves the building up of the Body of Christ.

Well, you’ve moved from one feeling to two opinions!

I don’t see an answer to the question asked in the post you are replying to just Catholic talking points. The question was asked “Did Jesus literally eat His own body, and drink His own blood?” Are you incapable of answering that question? The other question asked was “Were they literally drinking His blood and eating His flesh prior to His death?” How about let’s hear the answers to those questions rather than just Catholic talking points.

All I can tell you is that when asked what works were this is how Jesus answered.

“Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” John 6:28-29

Each can make of it what they will. Surely we won’t be judged on sins that Jesus already paid the full price for. Also action/deeds/works are not how we attain salvation. If it were Jesus death and resurrection was for naught.

Dense?

Jesus stated very clearly in John 6;55

55 The man who eats my flesh and drinks my blood enjoys eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 56 My flesh is real food, my blood is real drink. 57 He who eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, lives continually in me, and I in him. 58 As I live because of the Father, the living Father who has sent me, so he who eats me will live, in his turn, because of me. 59 Such is the bread which has come down from heaven; it is not as it was with your fathers, who ate manna and died none the less; the man who eats this bread will live eternally.

26 And while they were still at table, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take, eat, this is my body. 27 Then he took a cup, and offered thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink, all of you, of this; 28 for this is my blood, of the new testament, shed for many, to the remission of sins. 29 And I tell you this, I shall not drink of this fruit of the vine again, until I drink it with you, new wine, in the kingdom of my Father. Matthew 26

Jesus ate and drank with the Apostles and established the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Just as He was baptized by John the Baptist. Jesus provided us an example so that we could follow Him.

Perhaps you need to ask Jesus Himself so that you will fully understand. You don’t seem to accept the words of the Bible.

And you still haven’t answered the questions. I suppose they are too in depth for you. Well, here’s another one.

Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Jesus said He was drinking from the “fruit of the vine”, not blood. Did He contradict Himself?

If Jesus were to ask you to eat His Flesh and drink His Blood. Would you?

I figured that’s what you would come back with. It doesn’t work so well however. He wasn’t talking about the vine producing blood.

He wasn’t talking about “bringing forth” blood.

You don’t answer questions but still have the audacity to ask them?

Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

At the last supper Jesus was addressing his 12 disciples and they were all Jews including Jesus. Jesus said “do this in rememberance of me” Of course he meant it in a symbolic way as the most horrific unclean act to a Jew would be drinking blood and eating human flesh. Jesus spoke in parables.

your comment:
“as the most horrific unclean act to a Jew would be drinking blood and eating human flesh.”

And those that would not eat or drink the flesh and blood - did not believe - and they did not follow Jesus.

Please read John 6 which provides a preview of the Last Supper and the establishment of the Sacrament of the Eucharist:

48I am the bread of life. 49Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;z 50this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. 51I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”a

52The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat?” 53Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. 54Whoever eats* my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. 55For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. 57Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.b 58This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.” 59These things he said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

The Words of Eternal Life.* 60Then many of his disciples who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?” 61Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, “Does this shock you? 62What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?* 63It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh* is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64But there are some of you who do not believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him.c 65And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.”

66As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him. 67Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?” 68Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”d 70Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you twelve? Yet is not one of you a devil?” 71He was referring to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot; it was he who would betray him, one of the Twelve.e

The question was answered, but you still do not understand.

Your quote refers to worship of false Gods “idols”
Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

Read the Bible and try to understand.

Jesus is the Vine. He told us to eat His Flesh and Drink His blood for eternal life.

What don’t you understand? You ignore the words of Jesus and the Apostles and insist on your own interpretation.

You keep repeating yourself and we need to agree to disagree in our beliefs.

Oh but I do. Jesus explained to the Apostles that the flesh propheteth nothing.

Oh please. “And from blood” is separate. Blood has been restricted from the beginning and is still applicable.

>> “The Catholic Church was established by Jesus.” <<

.
Balderdash!

The RCC was chartered by Satan, just look at it, flowing in ill-gotten wealth stolen from the poor, idols and icons hanging everywhere, paintings that bleed sataniucally, prayers to the dead, and all other forms of creature worship. Torture and murder of Yeshua’s legitimate sheep for more than a millenium.
