Im really not sure what is so retrograde about that. In fact, this view of gender sounds like nothing else Ive read on the subject. The Catholic vision of masculinity and femininity, to my way of thinking, goes beyond the too easy stereotypes of the conservative/historical patriarchal view of gender and stands in opposition to the reaction-formation that is the secular feminist view. It is a fresh, exciting, and freeing view of the person that presents a mode of being that allows man and woman to both be fully human and completely unique.

All I know is that I identify as a man, my wife identifies as a woman, we have the requisite equipment, and things work out just fine.
Everything else just gives me a headache.

It seems like just a few years ago the Time magazine found out that men and women are different.

Salvation is a powerful name: it is the word
Yeshua, in Hebrew; the name above all names!
It is facinating to hear his name said repeatedly during a typical Judah service, as a lot of Torah is read out loud, verbatim during a typical Shabbat service. Hearing but not _hearing_ this aspect of Him; the ekklasia hearing but not _hearing_ Yeshua throughout both sides of the the Boook.

The bible reflects the reality of how we’re made. It’s not some arbitrary choice of a few people.

So out of touch with the modern, secular, knows everything world is God. He/she/it or whatever gender needs to catchup or is the ketchup? (scarasm)
I remember being taught, in a secular grade school in the 1950s, that ‘gender’ refers to masculine, feminine, neuter in language, while ‘sex’ is male and female of the species.
