“While the exact location of the house is not mentioned, it seems reasonable to assume that it is Peters house in Capernaum, “
A conclusion unsupported by Scripture so why even bring it up?

It’s part of the metaphor he’s drawing. You can take it or leave it.

Because its a fun meditation to do so. I vote for the home of Martha and Mary and Lazareth.

Why worry enough to post about it?

Thanks. I loved going through a class on Revelation that a priest did one time. It was so interesting to get inside the symbolism.
On the parables, I just love to see the symbolism as well. I think we have to remember that when Jesus was on earth, he was on a mission. He knew how it would end. I wonder how much he revealed in private to the disciples and how much was not written down? That will be my questions when I get there. Well among my questions.
I have a date with another FReeper to question St. Peter (one of my favorite Saints), when we get there.

My priest says that we will have no questions when we get to heaven. They will all be answered.

Mine has told me that as well. I believe him, I just can’t help myself! :) He say I am a bit contrary, but that’s OK. He said it in a nice way.

My apologies. I like you and your posts.
If you are so inclined, feel free to hit the abuse button and have it removed.
Thought it was funny and so did a fee other but, it’s your thread and I don’t want to hijack it.

Not my thread.
It’s my opinion that the more we start using negative phrases, such as King Obama, the ruler, or other phrases that seem to deify him — the more the far left and atheists believe they have conquered the Christ believing people.
Just an opinion.

Well, I’ll have it taken down.
Thought it was your thread and I have no intention of insulting Catholics and I am trying to deepen my understanding.

I don’t know why they posted it.

**it seems reasonable to assume that it is Peters house in Capernaum, which was Jesus home base for his ministry in Galilee.**
What my priest has said too.
