I was raised in the Catholic church ... When I was 19 years old, I read the Bible for the first time.

The Mass is filled with numerous Bible quotes. You never, ever read the missalette?

That was not my point. I had never sat down to simply read the Bible. I do not deny familiarity with the LORD”S prayer and other scriptures such as the golden rule, and so forth.
