Pope Francis, "If Mary is not your Mother, you are an orphan!"
Charisma News ^ | 9/5/2014 | Jennifer LeClaire

Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air for many Catholics seeking greater liberty and a growing concern for conservative Christians who take issue with his comments about homosexuality and other cultural issues.

But the pontiff's latest statement is sparking an uproar from believers around the world. Pope Francis sent a tweet Tuesday that absolutely violates the truth of Scripture:

"The Christian who does not feel that the Virgin Mary is his or her mother is an orphan," Pope Francis tweeted.

As of the time I wrote this column it had been retweeted about 4,000 times and many of the responses were in appropriately unkind. It's not appropriate to attack the pope for his beliefs. It's more appropriate to share the truth...

So defend the morbid practice of building and decorating with dead peoples bones. Did the apostles teach that?

She is not on the level of Jesus. She is dead and can do nothing.

Yes they are, and like propaganda they don't convey the whole story. Not suprising that protestant simpletons are taken in by them.

Please “Wise One,” enlighten us “simpleton” protestants with your glorious wisdom!

I for one would love to hear your explanation about why corpses are desecrated for modern day religious worship.

>>I do not understand people who would defend it.<<

They don't seem to be defending it.

I just might be interested in an explanation of that odd practice myself.

I’d be taking a speedboat over the Tiber.

The 'Basilica of the Holy Blood'... in Bruges , Belgium.

Catholics claim to have a container with the original Holy blood of Jesus.....Once a year, the Catholic faithful arrange a large religious procession...... This 'tradition 'dates back to the 'Middle Ages', and take place each Ascension day....

The centerpiece is the Blood of Christ, a coagulated relic said to become fluid again each year on this day.

The “Holy blood” of Belgium is not the only blood of Jesus kept in the Roman Catholic Church.

The Pontiff also claimed that someone managed to contain the blood in the staircase of Pontus Pilate.... Not only did the Vatican manage to transport the blood found in the staircase to the capital of Italy.... The whole staircase did miraculously end up in Rome.

Catholics hold Mass in front of this relic.

Here they're parading it through the streets

Priests carrying it out of the church

Notice the guards as the Bishop leads

They dress the roles of Midevil's and carry the flask to the Bishop

Same here. I wouldn’t be any part of that.

...”like propaganda they don't convey the whole story”...

Then go ahead and explain, nobody is stopping you..catholics are free to comment on these photos....

...explain somehow these bones and skulls...the bowing , praying and kissing affectionately... all this the church does.... which Jesus made clear we are NOT to do....nor did He ever do ...nor did he ask this of His disciples.....but the catholic church indeed does so.

So you don’t believe in bodily resurrection then?? Why in the world be a Christian then? You do realize that denying bodily resurrection is a heresy and makes you a heretic. But I will be charitable and just assume you have received very bad instruction in the faith.

It is spelled medieval FYI. If you are going to trash catholics at least try to spell right. Poor spelling make you seem lacking in education.

I have found these photos as I’ve sought ‘about’ the catholic church... since so many catholics constantly accuse us of not knowing about the catholic church...

....Though of course it would be difficult for catholics to ‘see’ these things they usually aren’t aware of that their church does...or they excuse it all....or both.

Just as in any faith when you see things being done that aren’t right ....it’s disturbing...but in these cases this stuff is ok with the authority of the Vatican.

There’s reasons why it’s been said there’s a “dark side” within the catholic church....and there is.

Why won't the Catholics discuss any of this?

I'm more than happy to discuss the use of relics in the Catholic Church. The real question is are you receptive to hearing what is said seeing as how you've condemened all of us Catholics as idolaters?
