I don’t believe in magic either. Have you ever heard the one where Satan can appear as an angel of light?

...”If she was speaking to someone who was accusing she was most definitely speaking to Satan”....

If anyone ‘believes’ they are speaking to anyone departed they are believing a lie because they “want” to ‘believe it. Of course what they choose to believe isn't going to change the ‘reality’.. that if you engage in practices God says not to you're ‘bound’ to run into all sorts of visuals in your mind..and out which the enemy of men's souls captivates people with.

People have varied reasons, in their own minds, why they bypass God and reach for “something else”.....King Saul did just that when he wasn't getting the answers he wanted to also.

I don't think you'll convince many catholics do set aside their “belief” in speaking to and through departed people. It’s way too embedded in their psychic from years of indoctrination....and this on the other pillars they've built to hold it up and vice-versa. If any one of those blocks falls the whole thing will come crashing down around them....and why they run around salvaging the bits God keeps chipping away at.

You do have to be very careful, I agree. There are charlatans all about us. The Church, however, does the work for us, in determining whether one should be canonized. And it would be counter-productive of the devil, regardless, to allow the types [and number] of miracles that came about through the intercession of St. Gemma Galgani.

All things "Protestant" apparently flow from Martin Luther according to RC teaching, since so many seem to view him as a pope-like figure to us. That's why their debate points seem so... canned and divorced from reality. They're debating a cardboard cutout of a straw man that they've created in Luther's image themselves.

Well, he invented your religion. It certainly wasn’t Jesus who invented Protestantism in the early 16th century. If the man who invented your religion was chatting up Satan you might want to care.

Its going to happen to them either now when they have a chance to repent or later when it's too late.

>>Well, he invented your religion.<≤≤p> No, he didn't. Luther was a Catholic and retained many of the Catholic errors. I don't look to him for anything.

>>It certainly wasn’t Jesus who invented Protestantism in the early 16th century.<<

That's a fact. Jesus would never have included the pagan rituals, beliefs, other abominatios started in Catholic Church which the Protestant churches retained.

>>If the man who invented your religion was chatting up Satan you might want to care.<<

I most certainly would care. But he didn't so its not an issue.

Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;

...”Its going to happen to them either now when they have a chance to repent or later when it’s too late”....

I do believe for most it will be later.....the “fog” of deception is fast flowing in these days....and what’s already here is getting thicker by the day. Soon they will not be “able “ to hear the truth....

....”Because they did not receive the love ‘of the truth’ so as to be saved. For THIS REASON “God will send”... upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false.”

God says that is the way it is:... When people reject the truth, they will believe the lie....

God is separating the sheep from the goats.

“That’s a fact. Jesus would never have included the pagan rituals, beliefs, other abominatios started in Catholic Church which the Protestant churches retained.”

Actually there are no pagan rituals or beliefs in the Catholic Church. Everything is Christian. There are things used by Christians - just about all of them - which were originally used by pagans:

wedding rings,
public exchange of wedding vows,
wedding bouquets,
white wedding dresses,
maids-of-honor,
groomsmen,
honeymoons,
celebration of birthdays,
names like Luke, Robert, George, Agnes, April and literally hundreds of others.

If you had a typical American wedding, then, congratulations because by your own standards you participated in a pagan abomination. If you’re wearing a wedding ring right now, then, congratulations because you even now wearing a pagan abomination (a pagan symbol) by your own logic.

“I most certainly would care. But he didn’t so its not an issue.”

Oh, but he did invent your religion. Jesus certainly didn’t invent Protestantism.

Catholics always try that obfuscation. Which ones from that list are used in worship of God?

Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God:

According to God there is no "Christianizing" of pagan practices. He calls that an abomination.

Oh, and I am not part of nor do I belong to any Protestant organization.

...”The Church does the work for us”.....

Jesus says in 1 Corinthians 3:1-4

But I could not address YOU as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food, for ‘you were not ready’ for it. And even now you are not yet ready, for you are still of the flesh....For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,”.. are you not being merely human?.......

....For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”.... But we have the mind of Christ.....

therefore...

Be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing YOU may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect........ICor.2;16..Romans 12;2

Over and over in Scripture, we hear the saying that “the Word of the Lord” came to Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and the other prophets....It is very rare it says the Spirit came....... God revealed himself to the prophets ‘by His Word’. Yet the Word and the Spirit are synonomous, they work ‘together’.

Jesus engaged the whole person, especially the mind. He answered the questions of the people giving them answers not avoiding them.... Nowhere did he tell them not to think for themselves. In fact he gave long sermons teaching them, enaging their minds.

The Church, in addition to looking into the causes of different saints, brings us the Eucharist every day. The Eucharist IS Jesus. And then with the reception (and adoring of him) Jesus goes on to fill us with “his strength and his power.” http://adorationrocks.com/letter.html

“According to God there is no “Christianizing” of pagan practices. He calls that an abomination.”

Are you fingering your wedding ring as you say that?

“Oh, and I am not part of nor do I belong to any Protestant organization.”

That doesn’t make you any less a Protestant.
