Please enlighten me on his “past record with homosexual priests”. And please frame the information where Francis said that nothing is wrong with openly homosexual priests preaching the gospel.

The Pope will ask Cardinal O’Malley, Dolan, and Wuerl what he should do.

Sounds like this bishop is getting the John Nienstedt treatment. [the Archbishop of St Paul].

Liberals are on the move in every single aspect of western civilization. There can be only one factor at work here that unites these events - Satan.

We are at war; not only with secularists, Communists, Islamists - it is a war against the evil spirits and their leader - Lucifer, the fallen angel. We must unite against this evil - praying incessantly, and beseeching God Almighty to send forth his legions of angels and their leader, St. Michael the Archangel. This is a war against more than mere humans, but against the army of evil spirits who prowl the earth trying to destroy the Christian churches.

At least I was honest enough to make that choice but I respect those who stay with The Church.

if you were baptized you are a Catholic....you may not practice Catholicism, but you are still a Catholic.

you cannot unring a bell and you cannot unbe a Catholic.

re-examine what you think that you have given up on...there is no Christian denomination that entails ALL of Christianity, only Catholicisn is complete...

That may be the best argument for Catholicism ever.

So they’re unhappy with the traditions of the Catholic Church, a rational person would then find a church that fits their personal views. But we are dealing with liberal buffoons who believe that the church should change. See what I did there? I used the word buffoons instead of what I wanted to so I didn’t get banned.

The Catholic Church DOES make changes, but they are SO slow that the generation moaning about things never gets to see those changes.

Also, if people haven't figured out YET what the Church does change (covered hair for women) and does NOT change (men only priests) then they are just too stupid naive. TIME for them to figure things about using their God-given brains.

Hard to say which way the Pope will go on this. With his past track record with homosexual priests and his anti- capitalists stance I would say a 40% chance he will ignore it.

Baloney...100% baloney.
Pope Francis would NEVER have been elected unless he were an ABSOLUTELY 100% traditional priest. ONLY those most traditional men ever go up the "promotions" ladder.

So why does the Pope get to wear a hat in church if it’s bad for men to wear hats in church?

Lol.
From the Internet: There are many different types of headdress that the Pope can wear.

1. The first is called a Zucchetto. It resembles the yarmulke that the Jewish men wear, and it signifies tonsure. A zucchetto is worn on the back of the head and can be worn by all clerics in the Catholic Church. It is white for the Pope, red for Cardinals, purple for Bishops, and black for priests. Some orders have their own color, for instance the order of Franciscans wear brown zucchettos.

2. The second is called a Mitre. A mitre signifies the teaching authority of the Pope, and can be worn by bishops and certain abbots. This headgear is usually left for any sort of liturgy that the Pope, who is the Bishop of Rome, presides at. Otherwise, it is not an every day wear.

There are a few others that are listed below:

3. Papal Ermine - a read hat with a white fringe, meant to take the place of the biretta worn by priests, bishops, and cardinals

4. Papal Tiara - Once took the place of the Mitre at all liturgical events. Has not been used since Pope Paul VI

=========================

Many of the Church's traditions are Judaic traditions. These can be changed at any time since they are not ESSENTIALS of the Catholic Church faith, like FAITH and MORALS are.

"**for a more lay-directed Church.**
Won’t happen.
They don’t understand the hierarchy, Pope, Bishop, priests, laity.

Amen to that.

One can only IMAGINE the chaos that would ensue if there were a "more lay-directed" Church:

All KINDS of special agendas
women's/gay lib
people allergic to wine and wheat screaming for alternatives
same-sex marriage
multi-wife and/or husband marriages
women priests
shutting down of confessionals
communion for those living in sin
approval of "alternate life styles"
women wanting to wear their bathing suits to Mass...ok, I made that one up.

and so much more of Lucifer's bailiwick. I think I made my point.

SHUDDER!

“If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” Francis asked.

“His predecessor, Benedict XVI, signed a document in 2005 that said men with deep-rooted homosexual tendencies should not be priests. Francis was much more conciliatory, saying gay clergymen should be forgiven and their sins forgotten.”

‘Who am I to judge?’ Pope signals more tolerant stance on homosexuality”

Although it was a dumb statement to make because it can be miscontrued a thousand times over, what it he said is correct.

But what is hardly even mentioned were the other words Francis used.

“If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge”.

So he’s right. Being homosexual is sin like a lot other things are a sin, but if you are not practicing the sin no one has the right to judge you.

The only thing that bothered me was Francis using the word “gay” to describe a sodomite. As far as I can find out he was the first Pope to ever udder that term for a homosexual.

But as far changing Catholic social doctrine on homosexuality it ain’t gonna happen. Catholic doctrine is based on the Bible, and the Bible flatly condemns homosexual behavior.

MOST orders of the priesthood do NOT require the promise of celibacy. It's an odd thing but it's true. So when they have sex with someone, they are not breaking any vows of celibacy because they took none.

Priests don't marry either, so if they do have sex that act is either

*fornication if it's with a single person,
*adultery if it's with a married person
*or the "abomination" of homosexual sex with another man.
**and DOUBLE THAT if that man is married--"abomination + adultery.
