This Jesuit’s Liberation Theology will destroy the Church
I went to a Jesuit College (granted this was 25 years ago) and the education i received there saved my life- it was amazing.
I never really got any theology there.
Have Jesuit colleges changed? I thought they were just fundamentally concerned with knowledge and teaching.

I think you missed an important chapter in your catechism class. Liberation Theology is no match for the Will of God.

No, I think we’ll just say this is either a mistake on Francis’ part or he knows something we don’t. I know Burke personally, so I doubt it is the latter. All popes have made mistakes in administration of the Church. They’re human. This too shall pass. He’ll die and be replaced like every other pope before him. Satan still won’t defeat the Church.

Disturbing news, to say the least. I have had an uneasy feeling about Francis since he became pope, and I’m still sorry about Benedict stepping down.
As a former Catholic, this shows a primary difference between Catholics and other Christians.
Catholics, especially hard-core Catholics, are most highly disposed to protecting and showing the primacy of their church of their organization, as it is the organization that provides "sacraments".
Christians should be most highly disposed to saving individual souls, to keep people from Hell, and are primarily disposed to the Word of God.
Am I saying a Catholic cannot be a good Christian? No. But I am saying that elevating protection of the organization, of the Catholic church, above the protection of souls, does and will get many, many people sent to Hell.
This is no idle observation. This is knowledge gained from working in the trenches, trying desperately to get Catholic hierarchy addressing (and yes, addressing with love and forgiveness) the sins that pervade many in the parish.

First was the elation of the leaders of Liberation Theology when Francis was elected Pope, a Marxist movement infiltrated in the Church and proscribed by Pope John Paul II and Benedict XVI.
Now Francis call himself proudly, the Che Guevara of the Palestinians, even though he knows quite well that his compatriot, el infamous El Che, was a sadistic Communist mass murder. Will Pope Francis, as Che Guevara, shut personally his enemies, in this case the Jews.
Awake Catholics, and pray a lot for our Church to survive the Francis’ papacy.

The only way for that comment to make sense in light of what I wrote would be if you believe “other Christians” believe the Church will be defeated by Satan. Is that the case? I seriously doubt it.

No. If the sacraments alone were the issue I could find valid ones in several places (Eastern Orthodox, Old Catholics, etc). The issue is what the Church is: the Body of Christ sent into the world by Christ Himself for the salvation of souls.

Saving individual souls (through the power of God) is exactly what the Church is about. And by doing that it is keeping people from hell (by the power of God). And the Church is the guardian of the Word of God as well. A Christian life without the Church is impossible.

And I am saying that Christ sent the Church into the world for the salvation of souls. You make a terrible mistake when you bifurcate the Church’s mission and the saving of souls as if they were two different things.

Apparently you’re the mistake of viewing the Church through your limited lens and that lens is about what you view to be someone’s failure in meeting your concern.

I'm a Protestant but Matthew 16:18b is crystal clear. We differ on the meaning of the first part of that verse with Catholics, but it's quite Scriptural that Satan will not defeat what God has ordained.
