Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
Although the Profession of Legal Representative or Litigator does not appear in either the Hebrew Scriptures or the New Testament, There is a constant admonition to "Pursue Justice" and "Plead For the Widow and Orphan". The root word in the Hebrew "Justice" (Tzedek) is also the word for Righteousness. This marvelous quote from Deuteronomy is often included in beautiful artwork presented to young men and women who have passed the Bar Exam. It is an admonition to pursue Justice and Righteousness in their new Profession, and not just monetary gain.
Some would argue that Jesus lambasted Lawyers when He was chewing out the Pharisees. However, the Lawyers of Jesus' Day were neither Legal Representatives, nor were they Litigators. The Lawyers of the time were actually Scribes, who worked with the Pharisees to encode every little detail of The Law of Moses into Daily Life.
In three instances in the New Testament, a person is put on trial. In all three, the person had no Legal Representation and had to defend himself. Jesus was silent, as predicted by Isaiah. Stephen referred to the Torah, and the history of the Jewish people as his defense. Paul asserted his rights as a Roman Citizen and used Logic, History, and Precedent to defend himself. In the human sense, all three were unsuccessful in their self-defense, as all three ended up being executed! However, the Triumph of their Lives is with us to this day. Some of our own beloved Prayer Warriors practice law, and I am sure that they would not want to change the Story one iota!
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Praying with you for wisdom for leaders—political and military, a quickening of the urgency of the times to seek God and His truth, a hiding of all soldiers in the secret place of the Most High.

Thank God we all have an Advocate - Defense Lawyer - in Heaven, at the right hand of God, interceding for us and defending us from the Accuser.
Lifting up all God’s people, left that other site, especially the persecuted.
Prayers for Jerusalem, Israel, and our beloved America.

What is the third line of your sign, or plaque. I do not understand it. Thanks!
God our prayers are for Israel, Jerusalem, all believers, the persecuted, the broken hearted, the captives, and for America to stand strong with Thee in these days, in Jesus name. Amen. Amen.
