(CNSNews.com) -- Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson and his eldest son Alan Robertson, both of whom are Christian ministers, released The Duck Commander Faith and Family Bible today, which is a New King James Version of the Bible complete with testimonials, selected indexes on Jesus’s life, weekly readings, and devotional commentary from both men throughout the book.

While noting the joys of duck hunting, family, and Miss Kay’s cooking in the study Bible’s introduction, Phil and Al Robertson say that “what really gets us fired up – what’s the foundation of our daily lives and all that we do – is our relationship with the Almighty. There’s nothing we’d rather do than to dig into the pages of this book you are holding – God’s Word, the Bible. Everything we need to live life to the fullest is contained inside of these sixty-six books” of the Old and New Testament.

I enjoy watching and I'm not a duck hunter.

It's pure, fun Americana with a bit of the Word thrown in.

God bless the Robertsons. When they get criticized by the room-temperature-IQ Left, they double down on their stand for Christ. Then, they go hunting.

And it all works out fine in the end. Imagine that, huh? Funny how that works, although we shouldn't be surprised. That's kinda the way it works in each of the stories told in that Book, too. Maybe there's a lesson to be learned there, for all us, non-duck hunters included. =)

I understand that they are C of C. The C of C doesn't have ordained ministers.

How many "sophisticated" FReepers secretly despise the Robertsons for being "Bible-thumpers?" Believe it or not, there are people who call themselves American conservatives who take a dim view of such people.

Doesn't this strike anyone as just a little presumptuous? I really do not require a "Duck Commander" Bible unless the Bible I already own is out of date or something. I'll take my Bible without add-ons from reality TV "stars" charging $22.00

How many unsophisticated Freepers actually buy into this reality TV nonsense? They like to think they are so much smarter than the average low info voter, but are actually no better than your typical Real Housewives viewer. Now excuse me while I go read my Honey Boo Boo Bible.

I don't watch reality TV, including the Robertsons. But it's great when they're a means of getting Bible-hating "conservatives" (like you?) to expose themselves.

Duck Dynasty can get a bit long in the tooth. But segments with Phil and Miss Kay never fail to inspire.

Oh, OK. *YOU* don't watch reality TV. It's the other proles that can watch this stuff. Fine. Why not if these Dynasty Duck guys are so wonderful?

And you are also wrong about me. I'm not the one profiting off publishing my own Bible.
