Really? Specify. Does Mary being the mother of the Lord Jesus translate into the multitude of parallels with Christ ascribed to her as part of her demigoddess status?
Is affirming Mary as an example to be followed, yet pointing out that Paul was given more press as an example of one who followed Christ, means that you hold Mary in contempt? Is such a conclusion is positive argument for being a RC?

The KJV has it be followers of me, big difference, we can follow Jesus but we can not imitate him because we are not the only begotten sons of God.
What we can do is try to do the things he told us to do.
If we can not do unto others as we would have them do unto us as Jesus told us to do, how in the world are we going to walk on water?
For most of us it would be an exaggeration just to say we follow Christ much less imitate him.
But Daniel1212 and his ilk understand the history of Christianity a lot more than these ancient Christians,
On the other hand if they read the same scripture that we have and no more then they may have been adding too and taking away just like many people do today, both Catholic and Protestant.

The article I posted is foremost for Catholics. The website is the Catholic Gentleman. Mary is mentioned in one paragraph. It would be nice if just for once Catholic-hating protestants could just control themselves and leave a Catholic thread alone. Is this too much to ask? 99% of the thread will now not be discussed because of the incessant protestant hatred of the Mother of God and that is pathetic. So do me and fellow Catholics a favor. Quit trying to hijack this thread. Is that so much to ask?
