no duty, but morally, ethically and intelligently we should work to get the most moral, ethical and intelligent representative we can get.
What an awful article.
There might be good reasons for Christians to vote, but this author hasn’t found them. So instead she perverts the Scriptures to get people to vote Republican.
(And instead of serving God with their whole being, a lot of folks will soothe their guilty consciences by “doing their Christian duty” at the voting booth.)
Therefore, since Christ suffered £for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. 1 Peter 4:1-2
There are many blessings from persecution. I wish the church was prepared for what's coming.
I live inside the beltway here in Washington DC.
Many of the churches here believe that within a couple generations current trends will lead to serious persecution of christians.
Good news! You will see a lot of Dems being thrown out on Tuesday!
......Which could lead to a serious revolt as a result.
But also Jesus said to sell your cloak to get a sword as well.
