Victoria Osteen in new TV special "Women of the Bible"

Lakewood Church co-pastor Victoria Osteen will take part in a new TV special focusing on the Bible's most famous female figures, according to Variety.

Stories of prominent biblical women will be blended with interviews with contemporary women in faith. Victoria Osteen will take part alongside Christine Caine and Priscilla Shirer, who co-founded Going Beyond Ministries. Eva Rodriguez from the Latino Evangenlical Women's Association, Kay Warren of Saddleback church and Bible teacher Joyce Meyer will also take part.

Producer Roma Downey said the special will shed light on some little known facts about the Bible's heroines.

Osteen's part in "Women of the Bible" adds to a growing T.V. and radio presence nationwide. The Houston mega-church co-pastor and her husband both have phone in shows on Sirius'new Joel Osteen Network, which launched in September.

Christian don’t have much common sense these days. Just look at those two and you can tell they are scammers. Same at our church and every other church I’ve attended. There seems to be a lot knaivity int the church these days. Many that were born and raised in the church lack discernment and are easily led astray. They cannot detect the subtle evil of the enemy because they have been so protected their whole lives. The strongest and most discerning Christians seem to be those that have had long hard worldly lives - they’ve know what evil is, they have walked with it, they know its subtleties. If the church is to survive and prosper those are the ones that will be saved/used by God to do so.

Exactly right! Mother Teresa’s image and work is a far cry from what the Osteen’s are peddling.

That picture looks like she is on the witness stand. Not to be confused with witnessing about the saving grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, but witnessing about her assault of a stewardess over a stain on her first class airline seat on her Christmas ski trip to Colorado. What preacher cancels church at Christmas... oh, the preacher thrown off an airliner for fighting with a stewardess and pounding on the cockpit door while yelling, “Do you know who I am?”... that “preacher”.
