I disagree. I do not think he said clearly that everyone there is going to Heaven, though I do think he was speaking to the many there he thinks are. I think he was doing his duty as Pope to strengthen, feed, and console the flock.

So are you saying Francis can read hearts, which you accused me of? Or is he possibly convincing some, who are not in a state of grace, of having a pass, thereby damning them?

I think he thinks most of the people there will be saved and in a moment of exuberation basically said we’ll all be up there together. I think the real problem on threads like this is that there’s such an effort to try to get him, that his words are given the worst possible interpretation.
