Pope Francis: Church Support For Families With LGBT Children [Babylon the Great]

The Catholic Church must help parents stand by their gay children, Pope Francis said in a new interview about his papal ministry. The pontiff’s comments come a day after Francis urged top church officials to pay attention to the “signs of the times” and listen to ordinary Catholics, according to The Independent.

“We come across this reality all the time in the confessional: a father and a mother whose son or daughter is in that situation. This happened to me several times in Buenos Aires.... We have to find a way to help that father or that mother to stand by their son or daughter,” he said in a wide-ranging interview with the Argentine daily La Nación. While it is important to find ways to welcome gay Catholics, gay marriage is still not on the church’s agenda, Francis said.

Oh Father, our son is gay. Will he still be able to receive Communion?
Of course he will. God loves him and so do we. What church does he attend?
First Methodist.
The little Hell-bound heathen better stay away from the altar.

I must have missed where Jesus mentions in Scripture how the “signs if the times” are to be obeyed....

I wonder how much longer that will be the case.

They’ve gone from demanding we tolerate them, to demanding that we celebrate them.

What is wrong with “hate the sin, love the sinner”

That line is biblically indefensible imo. Not only did Jesus warn us to beware of the "teachings of men” in Mark 7:7-9, but please consider the following.

Matthew 18:15-17 shows that Jesus taught Christians that they they must ultimately expel unrepentant sinners from their congregations. In fact, this is evidenced by 1 Corinthians 5 where Paul chewed on the congregation for not expelling a sexual offender. Note that 1 Corinthians 5:11 tells us to not even eat with such people.

Yes, I always think of Thomas More...how easy would it have been for him to come along for “fellowship.”

Jesus agrees (and so do I)...

Revelation 18:4 - And I heard another voice from heaven, saying , Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

I would not be surprised if this Pope unites all of the denominations (including Islam) into the final world church “Babylon the Great”. Instead of being the “Bride of Christ”, she is a harlot, drunk on the blood of the saints...(Rev 17-18)

We have to judge as Christians whether what our leaders are doing is right and true, or wrong and false. If we do not judge, we are guilt of the sin of omission and commission.

How do we judge? Everything by God's Word! Whatever does not hold up to the Biblical test is rejected.

Would you care to say that to Fr. James Schall, S.J., who often writes for The Catholic Thing? Actually... would you say that about the many other Jesuits who are also faithful servants of the Lord, Jesus Christ?

With the Homosexual Issue, Pedophile Priests, and many other heretical things, I am afraid I am getting out (actually, I got out a long time ago):

Revelation 18:4 - And I heard another voice from heaven, saying , Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

I doubt it. Most cardinals were put there by JP2 or Benedict. Neither of those popes were “progressive” on social issues. My guess is that they misjudged Bergoglio’s stance on such issues or his ability to provide clear leadership.

Well, they selected an Argentine Marxist in the first place. Always was a political socialist, at the very least. How can they be all that surprised that he acts like one.
