The evolution of the Christmas tree is interesting to follow. It may have been commandeered by the church from the use of “tree huggers” who almost certainly knew nothing of Tammuz. This is a valid move as long as bible theology of God does not get superseded (as it did with Mary). I find it difficult to understand how a Christmas tree weakens a valid Christian faith, because it only serves as symbolic decoration, not as object of devotion. Martin Luther had no problem with the Christmas tree... that should say a lot. The blessing is always stronger than the curse. Always.

I have no problem with Christmas trees either. I just keep it all in perspective. I did a short study on Diana, Artemis, Ashtoreth and other strange things. Eye opening. It is already 10:15 AM on Dec 24 here, but still Tuesday there. We will celebrate Christmas tomorrow, even though I seriously question the date of Jesus' birth. I just keep it in perspective. Uphold good, sound Biblical doctrine. Maligayang Pasko.
