Perhaps you will try again.

Or perhaps not.

It is possible you don't agree that: Before one accuses another of a serious sin, he should know clearly what constitutes that sin.

In our example, if one doesn't know what makes an idol and idol, it would be meaningless to accuse another of idolatry.

Idols... You make this so easy!

Apparently not that easy. You didn’t answer.

This would be the minimum necessary to know in order to credibly accuse others of the sin of idolatry.

Do you know just what makes an idol an idol?

I answered, but you obviously want to disagree with my premise. Yet, you have continued down your rabbit hole ideology.

What Roman Catholics do is worship dead people, by praying to them and asking them to perform actions in opposition to what is taught in Scripture. Jesus is our intercessor, and Mary is dead, along with all those Roman Catholics proclaimed to have special status. It is obvious to even the most casual observer that Roman Catholics belong to a manmade cult... certifiably the largest hoodwinking in the history of mankind. I am sure Satan is satisfied with the masterful deception of so many!

Roman Catholicism is a cult of idol worshipers. Exodus is clear...

Exodus 4: 4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, ...

I answered..

No, you posted another jpeg.

".. idol worshipers."

To be taken seriously in your accusation, you would need to say precisely what, according to you, an idol is - what you believe makes an idol an idol.

Can you do that?

If not, then there's no reason to take your accusation seriously or waste time in discussing or debating it.

Hahahahahaaaa...

Nothing you have posited is taken seriously, as it is a deflection from the original post I made. I gave you a perfect description as taken from Exodus, and you still try to weasel out by giving this same puerile complaint.

If you are Roman Catholic, you worship idols. Nothing can be simpler than what it states in Exodus.

Asked and answered. Move on with a positive defense, if you wish to continue this method. I have been in court a number of times, and I know how to ask, and I know how to answer. My reply is stated emphatically above.

I will take the time for others, though, and repost what God has to say about your form of worshipping dead people and statues thereof:

Exodus 4: To be taken seriously in your accusation, you would need to say precisely what, according to you, an idol is - what you believe makes an idol an idol....

I will also post another illustrative picture of Roman Catholics doing exactly what SCRIPTURE says is WRONG/SIN:

you worship idols.

It's really impossible to take your accusation seriously since you cannot, or refuse to, say what an idol is in your opinion.

I might as well say you worship UFOs. It's meaningless. Any reader here can see lack of argument in your argument. That's ok.

But I think it is self-harming, harmful to you, to accuse hundreds of millions of Christians of very serious sin without sober and honest examination. Think about it.

Something more than rote repetition, more than what you've offered thus far. You can do better, yes? Something approaching a coherent argument for your position.

If you can't, that's ok. I'll leave you alone.

Thank you for your reply here:

“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below."

Obviously we all, you included, have made an image in the form of something in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below."

Yes?

Idolatry is something more then, agreed?

Yada yada yada...

No, we are not in agreement. Your posit is founded on a false view of God's requirements, and you then try to equate anything to try and deflect from the idolatry of the Roman Catholic cult.

It is quite clear that making an image and bowing, praying, or seeking assistance from it is a form of idolatry that is specifically enumerated as something forbidden by God.

Try another tact, since that one gets you nowhere close to first base.

Another swing and another miss

!

Can you finish what Jesus said. He said in Matt.26:29 (the next verse which you quoted, "But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine until I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom." He identifies both before he drank with the apostles and after the drink with the apostles. JESUS HIMSELF identified what they were drinking. BEFORE and AFTER the act of drinking of the wine.

No, we are not in agreement.

Then, to clarify: you believe you are guilty of idolatry if you have "made an image in the form of something in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below"?

Is this your position?

I’m sorry, I’m not following your point. How are you modifying or changing or interpreting: “Take, eat: this is my body. “?

I think you 'got me'.

Here it is slowly.....Jesus said he drank the wine with the 12.

They drank the wine (Jesus said it was blood-a remembrance of his shedding of his blood).

Then he said he would not drink the Fruit of the vine until in His Father's kingdom.

Jesus confirmed it was wine AFTER the drinking of the liquid....not blood.

After they (according to catholic teaching) drank the blood.

Why would Jesus not say, once the transubstantiation occurred, He would drink the blood with them in his Father's kingdom?

The obvious reason is that the wine was wine, and never changed to blood.

Uh, transsubstantiation?

look up what 1.3 billion Catholics and 0.5 million Ortodox Christians believe.

Gents aren’t there two other threads serving your debate theme?

This one is about evidence for God.

Then, to clarify: you believe you are guilty of idolatry if you have "made an image in the form of something in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below"?

I did not say that, nor does it say that in Exodus chapter 20, verse 4. Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Is this your position?

My position is crystal clear, as is yours. You support idolatry and try to justify it any way you can. A does not equal B in your posit...

Bowing down to your idols, statues, portraits, et al is idolatry. Nothing more, nothing less!

I will not play your game again!

If you have a Scriptural foundation for your idolatry, please post it. Lacking that, we can all recognize what God forbids.

Thanks for playing, but no banana!
