You are operating on a very limited collection of parroted "facts", so you make astoundingly inaccurate reaches to the point of evoking my unbridled laughter. Your trying to apply precepts of YOUR religion to my life are utterly preposterous. Your religion's goals are not my goals. It is astounding that you try and try to impose YOUR religious precepts on me, when they have nothing to do with me.

You might as well go out into YOUR backyard and don a bone necklace, smear yourself with blood, take some "magic mushrooms", and sacrifice a sparrow to a crocodile god, because that would be equivalent to what you propose that I and other Jews do. We don't live by the precepts of YOUR religion, nor do we insist that you live by the precepts of any other religion other than your own. Why do you insist that we live by yours?

See comment #21. With Greco-Roman habits of thought (some examples being types, shadows, metaphors), you cannot understand the Prophets, even though it's all there. It's more concrete and sure than you can imagine. Attempts to missionize to people of Israel will only fail.
