The guards there are acquainted with these "Femen", uh, feminists -- who like to expose their bare breasts to call attention to whatever it is they want to call attention to, uh, other than their bare breasts.

"God is woman", eh, but she goes straight for the 'baby Jesus' figurine.

Hmmm.

So the guard suppresses his own laughter at the situation as he does what he must to gently remove the disruptor.

What could have been a fun kind of topper to the scene would be for a Vatican employee or guard to replace the figurine with obvious gentle and due care (like -- as if the figurine were an actual child) back into the manger, putting the statuary back into the care of the other statuary, then doffing their hats, taking a knee, make a bow towards the "baby", stand up, give a quick wave at the onlookers, then trot off the scene.

I wonder if something like that did not follow. If there is a next time, I do hope a photo-op of that nature be recognized, filmed, then be part what circulates in world media.
