First they report stuff the Pope didn't say (e.g. the alleged comment on animals going to heaven, which Pope Francis didn't say anything about
at all), then they make their own fabrication the Key News of the Year.
"The Narrative" swallows journalism whole. And the beat goes on...

In other news, there was a HUGE Kwanzaa parade in Los Angeles!

This ‘mistaken praise’ for The Pontiff seems to happen every other week. There are pluses and minuses to that.
To: Mrs. Don-o
**Pope Francis definitely didnt do at least one of those things.**
LOL! Like a lot of the stuff that is posted here sometimes in other threads.

Yea, as some POS black thug said “ don’t shoot” while having his hands up.
That’s a flat out lie too, but matters not to any libs, MSM or not.

I think about three people and a muzzled chihuahua were in attendance. Or maybe not, they went into the grocery store and missed the entire ‘procession’ of low riders with spiky hubcaps.

Ahhh, but fortunately for Catholics and the Church, the pope comes right back and clears up all those misquotes and misunderstandings.
Within 48 hours or so he generally has everything straightened out, all the confusion is put to rest, and we know just where the Church stands on all those troublesome issues.
Well, maybe not every time, but maybe most of the time? Or maybe sometimes? Ever?
Never might be the answer.

But how would you know if his corrections don't get reported? I mean, the "Who am I to judge?" quote wasn't even out there for one news cycle before it was pointed out that, in context, Pope Francis was talking about a person who had repented. Did that correction EVER get 1/1,000th of the coverage of the original carefully-snipped snippet? And that snippet is still being stretched to SuperSize and unfurled from the high flagpoles as a kind of all-purpose antinomian banner --- even by FReepers.

The Lamestream media hasn't changed one iota. Their lies just didn't get caught so fast by so many.
My opinion, of course.
To: Mrs. Don-o
I find it interesting how you try to divert attention from Francis’ actual words with silly distractive links.

I love that link. They’re all germaine, and funny, too. Most of us don’t mind laughing at the EneMedia. Enjoy!

I like the nfl.com link and it’s about as germaine as yours regarding the Pope’s pronouncements.

I find it extremely interesting that so many on this forum root for the downfall of the Catholic Church. We indeed do have our faults. However, if the evil that is now congregating succeeds in bringing down the Church the attendees of generic Rev. Feelgood Bible Thumpers of the Week will have to take all the heat and I know they are not prepared to do that.
Also as an aside. If the Church ceases to be, then I will cease to be a Christian as that would mean that Jesus was a fraud and everything he told us was falsehood.
It also seems ludicrous at the moment that all forces gather against us, rather than the Muslims and atheists. Interesting times we live in.
