How does the Roman Catholic Church determine sainthood? [Catholic Caucus]

Seems strange seeing it is Rome that now supports population control and "sustainable" cities.. and global warming..
Scripture teaches that all believers are saints. The Catholic construct is a falsehood.
Ironic isn't it?
Protestants enjoy the intercession of the Son. Cuts out the middle man don't you know!
Amen BB
LOL... so Rome DOES CHANGE...I think not.. every pope MUST affirm Trent..which damned us all to hell
Your current prophet, that goes into Buddhist temples.. wants to fellowship with Islam ...believes EXACTLY what this catechism says..
Paul VI said: "Wanting to live with Jesus without the Church, following Jesus outside of the Church, loving Jesus without the Church is an absurd dichotomy." And the Mother Church that gives us Jesus gives us our identity that is not only a seal, it is a belonging. Identity means belonging. This belonging to the Church is beautiful. "
The Latin phrase extra Ecclesiam nulla salus[1][2][3] means: "outside the Church there is no salvation".[1][2] The 1997 Catechism of the Catholic Church explained this as "all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body."[4](Wikipedia, )
You sound like a thankful born-again of the Spirit Christian.
Odd how many Christians have the same opinions as you now do, as opposed to earlier in your life. Odd how many RCs cannot keep their testimonies in agreement and are elitist in their personal and prideful religiosity.
Thank you boatbums, from all your kin in Christ in the Northern Hemisphere.
Why would anyone be angry? It is important to remember what the Reformation still means
“Seems strange seeing it is Rome that now supports population control and “sustainable” cities.. and global warming..”
The Church doesn’t support population control. Sustainable cities are a nice dream but a passing fad. If anyone supports that it is meaningless and impacts nothing in itself. Global warming - the Church does not support it. The current pope apparently wants to support the fight against it. Since it doesn’t actually exist, and is a matter of science, it is just his personal opinion and not a matter for Church teaching or support in itself.
Your 0 for 3. Good job!
” every pope MUST affirm Trent..which damned us all to hell”
No, it didn’t. Go ahead now and tell me about the anathemas to session 6. And then I’ll point out they apply to baptized Catholics. Sooooo predictable.
” Paul VI said:”
No. Only a portion of that came from Paul VI. Here’s the actually quote from Pope Francis that you cut and pasted without any attribution let alone an actual link:
“It is not possible to find Jesus outside the church,” he said in his Mass homily April 23. “The great Paul VI said it is ‘an absurd dichotomy’ to want to live with Jesus without the church, to follow Jesus outside the church, to love Jesus without the church.” http://www.catholicnews.com/data/stories/cns/1301801.htm
It’s not hard to get things right. Unless someone is not interested in getting them right.
The LXX is not the word of God!
The apostles would disagree with you.
“The apostles would disagree with you.”
Well, at least 300 times they did!
The NT writers used the Septuagint 300 times for the quotes of the OT they put into the NT. There are 350 OT quotes in the NT. Thus, 6 out of 7 OT verses in the NT are from the Septuagint. http://www.kalvesmaki.com/LXX/NTChart.htm
No, the apostles would not.
The apostles used what Yeshua used: The ancient Hebrew texts.
Those that later translated the apostles to Greek copped out in some cases and copied the LXX.
“No, the apostles would not.”
Apparently they did so 300 times.
“The apostles used what Yeshua used: The ancient Hebrew texts.”
6 out of 7 times they used the Septuagint.
“Those that later translated the apostles to Greek copped out in some cases and copied the LXX.”
So you’re claiming that 300 times someone deliberately mistranslated the Bible?
.
The Greek NT you mean.
The apostles didn’t converse in Greek, a language peripherally known by only one of them, and that not well enough for complex communication.
.
I wouldn't normally use the phrase "Catholic anti-Protestants", but it seemed a fitting counter to those who frequently claim "Protestant anti-Catholics" are all those who voice their rejection of Roman Catholicism's many unscriptural doctrines. If the shoe fits...
One such doctrine is that which you mentioned concluding "invincible ignorance" was a get-out-of-hell free card which made ALL the Scriptures that contradicted that conclusion null. When people do that - ignore God's word - they essentially call all those whose words are recorded in Scripture to be liars. If there is no other name whereby we must be saved but Jesus, if there is no condemnation to those who believe in Christ but all those who do not believe are condemned already, then how is it God would permit into heaven a sinner who did not receive the light God has revealed to all mankind and invites to see further? How could God allow a sin-stained soul into heaven? How could God permit a man's own conscience - which He says is deceitfully wicked - to dictate what is "good" enough? How is it the cruel death of Christ upon the cross for the sins of the world can be shoved aside so that a man can claim he never knew and be permitted into the dwelling place of the Most High God? To clarify - which I shouldn't HAVE to do - those who truly are incapable of realizing their sin state and need for a Savior (i.e.; babies, small children, the mentally handicapped) are saved by the grace of God and the blood of Jesus Christ. Suffer the little children to come unto me and hinder them not, for of such is the kingdom of God. (Mark 10:14)
So, no, I see such ignoring, wrangling and twisting of God's word in order to pacify what one sees as impossible for God to do as the same thing as calling Jesus and the Apostles liars. It is saying they were not being truthful. It says they were leaving something out. With God, ALL things are possible!
Did Luther start the church you say was named for him? No, he didn't. And, JFTR...my comment had to do with Roman Catholics who REMAIN in the RC church - those to whom it was claimed are not really Roman Catholics but "Protestants". For a FRoman Catholic to imagine they can brush off all those they see as CINOs into the bucket they label "Protestant" is more than silly, it's nonsense. Neither Calvin nor Luther would have abided pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, Liberal members like the RC church does.
